I’m 50 & done 30 years service,obviously would want to leave with something to see me through for a bit.

According to Dave Ward in the recent video over the 2 senior board members leaving, he did say that the Union had an agreement with RM to addressing the quality of service issues but after that particular live episode was shown apparently Grant McPherson went back on his word and said he couldn't implement it?

Can't really blame the Union for that. But I'm intrigued as to how Dave Ward believes that a 5 day USO will improve quality of service when RM are currently failing a 6 day USO. Imho RM are viewing it as a cost cutting measure but to maintain the quality of service you would expect that duties would need to be put in to allow for 6 days worth of mail to be done in 5?

In any case the fine versus the amount they are saving by ignoring the USO is tiny.
It’s a win/win for RM
Why would RM change direction, more hours will be taken, more delivery points added, quality will go down.

Scrapping Saturday letter deliveries could potentially save RM up to £250 million - higher than previous estimates of £125-225 million that were made by OfCom in 2020. So, yeah, a fine by OfCom of £5.6 million is what 2% of this?? It's peanuts and the main reason why the company are continuing to keep failing letters.
