Hijacking this thread. Can anyone explain who voted in the change from D2D payments to the supplements you all now receive?
I remember when it changed years ago because of a majority vote.
How could it have possibly been a majority vote to lose D2D payments considering the staff numbers across different sectors within the business?
Is it because certain parts of the country don't have to deliver leaflets?
You said it yourself - doubt it was a single issue vote, it was a majority vote as part of a larger agreement wasn't it and
the majority saw the larger agreement worth sacrificing D2D payments for? Before my time.
Any idea what the larger agreement was?

So my delivery supplement got changed after 37 years working in the same delivery office...£28 down to £11,so i lost £17 a week.I am on late collections but always received delivery supplement ....but i do delivery work as well.Only me in our office got changed.There are around 100 staff,10 of which are collection staff .......I have spoken to HR,My manager,My area rep, 3 weeks nothing sorted so will speak again with area rep......This happen to anyone else ? any advice
Happened to us also. Wasn't told just happened to notice it as pay was short and asked manager. He allegedly knew nothing about it untill someone else mentioned it. He said the union had agreed to it. Waste of time asking our rep.
I usually help out doing a bit of ot delivering this this time of year. I won't be this year. Delivery manager has been begging me already but quite frankly can do one.
This is not agreed by union and is as much as a surprise to them as it was to us . It has been escalated to headquarters who are looking into it but I'm not overly hopeful as collection staff are a small amount of people looked after by reps whose main concern is lorry drivers .
This cropped up recently, I can understand why they might want to stop paying it if it's simply because you're based in a do but solely on collections but surely if you do delivery then you should get it, is it because you do delivery on overtime as opposed to part of your duty ? That could explain it although I think it's a bit bloody unfair.
I recently took out around 15 parcels on my 2pm collection(no extra payed) and often i am delivering special deliveries on the 11am run.
Also i stopped overtime long ago.What is more strange is that at least 2 other duties exactly the same as mine.....still get delivery supplement.
I will add that i now refuse to take out any delivery work and to give it to someone who gets the delivery allowance lol
