DELIVERY SUPPLEMENT CHANGED TO COLLECION SUPPLEMENT

So my delivery supplement got changed after 37 years working in the same delivery office...£28 down to £11,so i lost £17 a week.I am on late collections but always received delivery supplement ....but i do delivery work as well.Only me in our office got changed.There are around 100 staff,10 of which are collection staff .......I have spoken to HR,My manager,My area rep, 3 weeks nothing sorted so will speak again with area rep......This happen to anyone else ? any advice

This cropped up recently, I can understand why they might want to stop paying it if it's simply because you're based in a do but solely on collections but surely if you do delivery then you should get it, is it because you do delivery on overtime as opposed to part of your duty ? That could explain it although I think it's a bit bloody unfair.

I remember when it changed years ago because of a majority vote.

How could it have possibly been a majority vote to lose D2D payments considering the staff numbers across different sectors within the business?

Is it because certain parts of the country don't have to deliver leaflets?

Happened to us also. Wasn't told just happened to notice it as pay was short and asked manager. He allegedly knew nothing about it untill someone else mentioned it. He said the union had agreed to it. Waste of time asking our rep.

I usually help out doing a bit of ot delivering this this time of year. I won't be this year. Delivery manager has been begging me already but quite frankly can do one.

Does it state anywhere in the agreement that the Union has agreed to a reduction in the delivery supplement? I thought the deal stated that every single allowance remains?

You said it yourself - doubt it was a single issue vote, it was a majority vote as part of a larger agreement wasn't it and
the majority saw the larger agreement worth sacrificing D2D payments for? Before my time.

It hasn't, but perhaps what has happened to the OP is that they might have been getting delivery supplement for the additional time they do collections
but now that part has sneakily been stopped and now they're just getting delivery supplement for the amount of hours they're doing 'delivery'. Just surmising though, could be wrong.

the majority saw the larger agreement worth sacrificing D2D payments for? Before my time.

At some point down the line RM will be wanting to get rid of all supplements and allowances. It won't matter if you're in a DO or MC, they'll want the lot gone

At some point down the line RM will be wanting to get rid of all supplements and allowances. It won't matter if you're in a DO or MC, they'll want the lot gone

Think it might be time to offer all us old ones on the old contracts decent redundancy terms,it could now solve all their problems and cut costs so the company can move forward with their plan ,its got to the point now most over 50 long timers would walk if it was worth their while,can they afford to wait another 10 years.
