I think it's a matter of when, not if, payroll eventually gets done based on SISO data

Re: Paper pay slips finishing next month
My wife's employer changed them from weekly wages to monthly but they gave them plenty of notice and they were compensated for the change - think at that time they gave them 2 weeks wages. Then a couple of years later they changed to only digital payslips but it was a college so access to computers/printers wasn't a problem.

It's pure laziness or cost cutting by the app developer not to allow fingerprint or facial recognition to access the payslips, virtually every other app has moved away from passcodes.

I think it's "amateurish" like the PDAs, the latest scan to core route is especially shite, having to confirm every scan if you scan the 2d, plus I think it's a mess when you get to the final stage when you send to cloud then go back from an active screen to scan outdoor, it should be a simpler process.TopperGas wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 11:53It's pure laziness or cost cutting by the app developer not to allow fingerprint or facial recognition to access the payslips, virtually every other app has moved away from passcodes.

I’ve sorted that, I just scan the barcodes & ignore any in-flights & deliver to post office requests, not in 739 ..... sortedted_e_bear wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 20:31I think it's "amateurish" like the PDAs, the latest scan to core route is especially shite, having to confirm every scan if you scan the 2d, plus I think it's a mess when you get to the final stage when you send to cloud then go back from an active screen to scan outdoor, it should be a simpler process.

I just scan the 1D barcode as it hardly recognised any of the packets anyway. I’ve also noticed the list of packets gets lost in the hazard list especially on my delivery as one lad was harassed on a road and they put every point down as a hazard.
I don’t think I’ve looked at the list since they implemented it.

What is the purpose of that screen? Am I supposed to be looking out for errors in the embedded information in the 2D? Is it so I know which packet I scanned? The relabelled Chinese ones (posing as UK sellers) don't scan at all anyway so it can't be that important.
It's the little annoyances that seem designed to drive you to quit. The Stasi called it 'decomposition'.
The machine stops.

No idea, it's just annoying, they need to remove the confirm action.Mr Rush wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 22:51What is the purpose of that screen? Re: Paper pay slips finishing next month
Probably a bad idea, with RM looking to reduce the head count, why give them an easy option? Ignoring the in-flights and deliver to post office requests will eventually lead to complaints. With the way RM is these days, I don't think they'd hesitate on conduct coding anyone

It’s official no more payslips.
Got a message bottom of payslip.
“From June you will no longer receive paper payslips. To view digital payslips download and register on Royal Mail people app from your App Store”
