That is exact reason as you have stated that i agree with you.k979aaa wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 00:12Still a s**t deal but it's the only one we are going to get and we could strike to Christmas everyday from now and it would not change a thing. Except we would not have a job or any agreements just agency staff doing our jobs!aiden01 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 00:07Surprised at you mate but agree with you its over.k979aaa wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 00:04WOW 8 posts and arthur Scargill has reincarnated himself he must be one of these socialist worker collective postal workers united. Done with the strikes the deal is there vote YES or NO not telling anyone how to vote the details of the deal is and will effect everyone differently. The choice is yours and yours alone but for me the war is over!

Thing is the flex is or has been there before like swings and roundabouts they call it in delivery but you don't have to do it. Come up with a good reason and you never get asked again I know been asked and gave a reasonable excuse. We all know the agreement is online now familiarize yourselves with it word for word and use that agreement for this is what agreements are for exercising your rights!aiden01 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 00:13Why would mc workers be different we also had the last flexi agreement never been asked and answer would be no.guardianangel wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 17:50The annualised hours and flexibility agreement is an absolute mess and will only be abused by managers ,this part of the agreement will be an absolute nightmare to work with not just for bosses but posties too ,does mail centre workers have the 30 min flexi too, this part alone is worth a big fat NO VOTE !!!!!, it never worked in 2007 ,CWU what the hell are you playing at agreeing to this .

There is also a commitment on both sides to reopen talks over pushing starting and last delivery times back even further, with discussions due to restart in March 2024.

A 40 minute break is after 7h 01 minutes.
A 7 h day is a 30 minute break.
A 7 h day is a 30 minute break.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

You are breaking a national agreement.

Re: The deal : Business Recovery, Transformation and Growth Agreement
thats where i got mixed up. i was thinking of longs and shorts. so a 35 hr week could entail days below 7 hrs where it would reduce your breaks to 30 mins, and days over 7 hours that would give you 40min break, and still be on 35 hours a week, so its not a given that you lose all your 40 mins breaks on a 35 hr week. sorry, its been a long day, and the toon won 6-1 and im half pissed.claretandblue wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 18:47We do 6hr 48 on Tuesday and 7 hours on Saturday and still get 40 mins.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 18:41A 40 minute break is after 7h 01 minutes.

sorry not been on "royalmailchat" for a long time. reading all the comments, it's definitely a NO vote from myself. why couldn't the CWU place notice on RM for strike dates on jan, feb and march of this year after our record breaking yes vote in December. the CWU should have kept the pressure on and shown we were serious, but sadly our union didn't have a strategy in place and were weak to do so. RM then were rubbing their hands thinking "we have broken them" and smiling all the way to the boardroom, putting in executive action, moving people off their duties and the reason for this was "THE NEEDS OF THE BUSINESS", and we can't say BOO, pretty rubbish.

The danger was at the time members wouldn't support the strikes after December's strikes seem to have so little effect on RM, it they weren't RM would have declared a victory if mail was being delivered during the strikes. the continuing train strikes don't seem to be having any noticeable effect and they all seemingly well supported.dumn & dumber wrote: ↑26 May 2023, 19:42sorry not been on "royalmailchat" for a long time. reading all the comments, it's definitely a NO vote from myself. why couldn't the CWU place notice on RM for strike dates on jan, feb and march of this year after our record breaking yes vote in December. the CWU should have kept the pressure on and shown we were serious, but sadly our union didn't have a strategy in place and were weak to do so.
