Re: The weekend is over
Patience is a virtue but even i think its been dragging on a bit too long for my liking.
I do hope they aren't just putting some lipstick on a sow and trying to tell us she's a looker, or to be pc some aftershave on a boar and telling us its the man of your dreams.
Just tell us what it is warts and all then nobody is under any illusions.

Re: The weekend is over
From a glance at Workplace, Ricky and Zareera are taking questions about the pay offer they have published to the union today. So from that or looks like neither of them have actually met up for further discussions if they are talking about the same deal.

Re: The weekend is over
Sounds like it, the gist of it is asking members for questions about the pay and change proposals with the CWU following last week. Should be posting a video later this week about it apparently.RTP wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 16:22Is it the same deal?Shadedpostie wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 16:17From a glance at Workplace, Ricky and Zareera are taking questions about the pay offer they have published to the union today. As far as I can see the changes are costing them more in casual staff to cover the unmanageable workload... But I suppose they can only call them in once or twice a week, and don't need to pay them sick pay

I think you'll find it's lipstick and tights on a warthog - any which way you'd be mad to succumb to temptation.scotchy1962 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 16:03Patience is a virtue but even i think its been dragging on a bit too long for my liking.

but on the other hand, instead of paying sick-pay and pensions they pay the inflated agency fee - I heard they pay the agency £20/hour - pertemps

Maybe they own them or have shares in them? More Than than one agency though!stevejm wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 17:00nor pensionsKenfandango wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 16:33As far as I can see the changes are costing them more in casual staff to cover the unmanageable workload... Re: The weekend is over
There's no good resolution for us in this dispute.
Whatever gets dished up to us won't be the end of it all. They'll get what they want soon enough, be it this year or next year.
The job as we know it is dead in the water.

Re: The weekend is over
I thought RM had walked away from discussing that offer assuming it's the one they published last week? Why don't they just discuss whatever their final offer is and get the CWU to allow a vote on it so we can decide if it's acceptable or not? I sense most members just want to settle this dispute and move on with their lives.Shadedpostie wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 16:17From a glance at Workplace, Ricky and Zareera are taking questions about the pay offer they have published to the union today. Re: The weekend is over
Your not going to move on with your life if it’s a shocking deal and gets voted down by the members, you will be back to square 1 .TopperGas wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 19:40I thought RM had walked away from discussing that offer assuming it's the one they published last week? Re: The weekend is over
Everybody knows more or less knows the likely offer, it's not like the CWU/RM are suddenly going to hit us with an offer we weren't expecting.chickenwittle wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 20:13Your not going to move on with your life if it’s a shocking deal and gets voted down by the members, you will be back to square 1 .TopperGas wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 19:40I thought RM had walked away from discussing that offer assuming it's the one they published last week?
