I want LouBarlows round

I would love to get back early enough to put next week's D2Ds in!!! And that was before 2021s revision!! Just rotating the mail these days.....
I am the first one to admit, we have it good in my office. That was because, the last revision was brought in at a crucial time, where our DOM was retiring, and wasn’t listening to the area managers above him, and he brought in achievable duties, without worrying about the finances. Incidentally the result of this was we went from one of the worst performing DOs in the area, to being the best, in terms of hitting targets and reducing complaints. It is almost as if that if you treat your staff well they perform better. Fancy that.

New revision is in the works though, so it will be interesting to see how the new management handle it.

Yup. Wearing a cape won’t be rewarded, it will be punished.

This thread was about a hugely positive show of support by the membership in its union.

It has been swallowed up by the deliberate negativity of a few individuals multiple posting different versions of the same s**t.

That's what's ruining this site.
I am having to finish my Monday prepped D2Ds on a Saturday as by then I have a good 40% left..
If you have 40% of your D2Ds left at the end of the week, then you obviously aren’t delivering your D2Ds to every door on your walk. What the heck does that have to do with mail levels? You are supposed to go to every door to deliver vital advertising literature.
They are cleared up every week as instructed. Please read my post before replying. They are numbered manually on a Friday and delivered on Saturday. Thus a clear frame. Then the next week’s are prepped on the Saturday for the following week.
You shouldnt be doing the following weeks d2ds on a Saturday, that's fxxking the job up as bad as coming in early for free
That is a fair point, but I’m not going to return to the office and twiddle my thumbs. I don’t start early and we don’t leave early, so filling my day however I can, is my priority. I will find something to do on the Monday too e.g. cleaning my van or my frame etc.
If you actually delivered your D2Ds, instead of leaving them sitting in the frame, you would spend more time out. You have to use your D2Ds to your advantage.

That isn’t a new thing. As I say, I come in on time and finish on time. If I have time to absorb, I do, if I have too much work, I cut off. They can make the new walks as big as they like, but I will be leaving the building on my finish time.

And as of tomoro so shall I, with the full break taken. Enough is enough. This much stress for a job which is now barely above minimum wage is ridiculous.

No industrial action ballot has ever had anything like a 90% turnout.
Are some of you guys on drugs?

Royal Mail didn't expect a 77% turnout.
I didn't expect a 77% turnout.
Even Dave didn't expect a 77% turnout.

That's f***ing huge in any industrial action ballot, nevermind second time around.
:Applause
Well Done everyone that voted. :thumbup

This Massive YES vote will come as a shock to ST I'm sure. Could you imagine the scene at the Negotiating Table if we'd barely had a 50% turnout with only 40% voting Yes? :hmmmm ST and cronies would have pissed themselves laughing and said to Big Dave, "Well obviously your members aren't that bothered about all these changes, and revisions, because most of them seem quite happy"! ;liar

Instead Dave can simply point to a Very High Turnout with an outstanding YES vote and point out that, to paraphrase: "Something is rotten in the state of Royal Mail" The workers know it and they're not happy with it! :cuppa

And Simon won't give 2 f***s and carry on regardless like he has been doing with the union sitting there doing f**k all except spouting win the ballot win the dispute which hasn't exactly gone all that well.

The results were only announced last week. It'll take a bit of time to get any results. ST & Cronies were obviously dragging it out even further hoping for a low turnout. Why do you think they'd been putting so much effort and resources into trying to play down the ballot? They thought the results might be significant even if you don't.

What were you expecting to happen after the announcent? Those extra wings to be removed from your frame, the duties they'd cut up put back together and the duty holders to get their old duties back?

RM will try and hang onto these Failed Unagreed Revisions. And as long as there's still staff willing to run around working for FREE, skipping Meal Breaks and Cutting Corners to try and make them work nothing's going to change. That's OUR fault not the CWUs. :no no

Use the system against them "Work Properly", play by "Their" Rules.
Work your timings backwards: calculate travelling time back to office, emptying your van and sorting out Customer Collects, mail you may have collected, returned Specials & packets (including scanning back in Non Prioritised Tracked) throwing off & counting any cut off sections (if your operating that system), adding any Unclaimed Meal Relief (if you can't be bothered to take it) Then Scan Out at your Contacted Time. :thumbup

You'd be surprised at the ammount of time that takes, if you're not already doing it. Mine means stopping delivery nearly an hour before my finishing time :cool What really angers the Management is there's bugger all they can do about it, because you're playing by "Their" Rules. They normally try reverting to kind with B&H but stick to the rules and there's nothing they can do! :cuppa
