Do you know that you can put the name of the 2nd driver into the PDA?
If possible, why would you do that? It’s a minefield of who exactly is responsible for this or that issues.
But just supposing you could have both of your id’s logged as driver, it would really put out the guy I work with if I was to drive the van or touch his pigging parcels.
Some people are REALLY territorial when it comes to the rat infested vans.
’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’
Probably more so the ones who deliberately ( in their view ) won’t drive even though they have a licence. I think they will be targeted with all the executive action on the way- unless the union can stop it. They have removed one or two from their duties where I am on some days, effectively making them a reserve.
I have a licence and will never drive for RM. As it was not a contractual condition when I joined, they can target away as I’m already a reserve, what more can they do?

We we're told today that walker in a shared Van can do the vehicle test at the start of delivery and deliver parcels if first back to the van. When did the rules change
Does this mean your vans have two sets of keys?
Can’t deliver parcels if you can’t open the van and surely management aren’t suggesting an unlocked van?
RM is so weird, Van's not having 2 sets of keys, when it's a shared van!! I've been on a shared duty since they started, 2010? Was it a bit earlier? Any hoo, we always had 2 sets of keys

There isn’t a spare set for our van share but anywho, my work partner would sulk for a week if I drove the van while we were out. He’s probably hidden the spare key.

I dont drive, but having a key seems essential to me so I can pick up my next loop from the van, or just have 2 minutes if its pissin doon

Mine’s quite content for me to stand in the rain

Haha. I know the sort of person you mean. Stumbled across a few of ‘um in my RM career
I thought all the loops were the same so the driver does as much as the walking man I am a driver my partner isn't but if I am back at the van before him I will go and look for him vis versa also we do all the large pkts together you have to work as a team
