Lovely that....if you actually read the post I was suggesting (?)that ST (i.e. Simon Thompson is going to...). This is the future ST wants. I'm not a clown or a troll. Just a postie.
If you're a Postie your post was very confrontational. I did read what you wrote (underlined) and ST is obviously NOT going to sack everyone, so your post comes across as shite stirring. Not helpful with a lot of other worried Posties looking for some support .... Not Horror Stories
Why confrontational? P&O were obviously not going to sack everyone! I genuinely think this is his agenda. He's been ordered to keep the share price low, hence the reason why the attack before Xmas 2022, so VESA can buy in 2023. If that happens then there will be a firesale. Hopefully, the strikes will overcome this agenda and Thompson will be sacked. But, this is still a possibility. There's no need for slagging someone off for suggesting possible outcomes. If I said everything will be ok, will that make you a little less angry?
I refer to to your original post ... which came across as a very direct "This is what is going to happen..." type statement, even if you didn't mean it to (which I considered confrontational) and you were in no way "Suggesting" it .... that was my point.
Your last post made much more sense, and I agree with the point you're making. I consider myself mentally robust but I'll admit to getting angry over Shite Stirrers and Trolls that may have a significant impact on social media users who may have anxiety issues. I work with someone who gets well stressed everytime someone makes an off hand comment, such as "We'll be working until 2100 hours next"!
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)
No, I said it MIGHT BE OF USE to someone in their early 20s.
You know, someone who is just starting their working life. You are attempting to twist what was clearly written to win some imagined argument.
Where I come from we call that “talking bo**ocks”
Yeah you first said no energy & you replied again saying that you are exhausted. So that's the crux of your arguement. You can't speak on behalf of other 50+ year old's. Other's may have more time & energy than you. So try again Mr "No Energy" lol
I won’t bother Mr Always Talking Bollocks, I’ve said my piece. You might not agree, but trolls rarely do. I won’t waste any more time on you
Typical response of a loser. Before running away. Are you saying 50+ year olds shouldn't bother learning anything new like your lazy self? No books allowed?
You said mentally & physically knackered everyday from work. What a lazy C*nt you are Even Monday's & Tuesdays with light mail? Oh let me guess, more bs to win a arguement

Light Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays don't exist anymore and haven't existed in my office for over a year....
If you still have light, easy days then maybe your walks need to be made bigger.

We are standing on the bridge, at the hands of corporate greed and all that entails. Stick to the earlier agreement, give us 2 years pay and most over 60's will jump ship, and I'll be first to go. 30 years in a great company being destroyed, daily stress and annoyance getting worse by the day. All that needs to be done is sort out parcel deliveries NOTHING else, am sick of it all nowadays, just a damned shame.

So your saying you have the same work volume everyday? I know people from numerous office's with light Monday's & Tuesdays. Thanks for proposing more work load for us. Hear they are looking for new manager roles, sounds like you should apply.

Speaking from my own walk, Monday is usually a joke. Unless I’m hit with council letters or something sometimes I have whole streets and loops with only a handful of letters.
Tuesdays slightly busier but still not much.
Saturday much the same but usually slightly more packets.
The only walks in my office that a fairly busy all week are business filled walks where they get a lot of mail except for Saturday when they have next to zero.
Yeah same here, only thing that ruins Monday's & Tuesday's for us is having 3 or 4 d2d's to arrange. Sound's like your office needs to make their walks bigger aswell according to Norris lol
No Two Delivery Offices are the same (same as no two duties are the same), that's why when RM says, "ON AVERAGE no postman is out on delivery for more than 3 1/2 hours ...." they're talking total bollocks! Some some posties are going to be out for 5-6 hours and others are obviously going to be out for a damn sight less. There's no need to assume other Posties are lying about their workload.
Perhaps both your Delivery Offices are on the list to have more hours taken out of them than others, if RM consider you're having too easy a ride? They're not cutting hours across the company working on an AVERAGE. They're targeting specific offices that they think can do more work.

I know delivery office's vary. But it's fair to say work loads aren't the same every day regardless of what office your at. Some day's will be lighter than other's. Every day won't be physically & mentally exhausting. If it is, then it must be a rare case.

I don't know what your DO is like. In mine there's a fairly broad spread of Duty lengths the same people always seem to manage to finish just in time, or early. I tend to ONLY go over 30-45 mins or so on an "Easy" day and stay out longer if it's "Heavy"
I agree it may not be as as tiring on a shorter day but the effects are cumulative, and build up over the week. That's why I take my Meal Breaks and Rest Days.
IMO if your NOT taking your Meal Breaks, and you're working your Days Off than you haven't got that hard a Delivery.

My worst days are Tuesday and Friday as I don’t have enough time to get my delivery done. I generally find Wednesday and Thursday easier as I have more time to get done.
Same at my office, quite broadly spread. All this easy days talk will be coming to an end soon anyway. Be interesting to see if we can still leave early though or if they would make us leave on our exact finish time's.

Or you just have more energy than postmen that need a ‘rest day’ to recuperate.
Taking meal breaks is fair enough. It’s a good perk to have but also your body needs fuel for the day.
