Redden and Ppat98, I respect your opinions and your right to express it, but, and this is only my opinion, you both talk a load of bo****ks.
Completely respect your opinion aswell but instead of making a general statement why not grow some Bo**ocks & be specific about what I said was wrong.
Last time I asked someone to be specific, a tumble weed sweep by. Let's hope that doesn't happen again
Well let’s take this snippet
“ The solution is simple. Get a skill, work for yourself & you won't get knocked from pillar to post in the future or play the blame game your whole life & pass that same attitude to your kids.”
Firstly, when we are physically and mentally exhausted every single day, just when are we going to have the time, energy and money to suddenly learn a new skill? Your ‘advice’ might be of use to someone in their early twenties, not in their late fifties.
Secondly, why should someone who has devoted their entire working life to provide a service to their local community have to accept that they should learn a new skill and get a new job, just to appease the greed of the bosses? Some of us would rather stay and fight to protect what we have, and to protect the futures of those coming after us. We’re not looking for more, we just don’t want less.
This is what is wrong about your statement, your solution, that if you don’t like it, leave, is not really an option for tens of thousands of people, and is why I think it is bo****ks.
I hope this clarifies it for you
