Are they the same as they have always been or have they changed?
Can still do it with sequenced tray into an empty frame?
Not when they tested me. It was totally unsequened across bothe frames and the day after the office had the planners in.
I'm pt and had a PT coming in later. Despite being ready to go before most I failed according to them . Yet we were the first team back .
i was prepped last week in the time i came off packet sorting, to walking out the door. it was a tuesday with nothing on, and my partner had put most of it in the frame. i was ready in 20 mins. Not sure if anyone else was tested, as it proved nothing.
Manager threatening me with coaching because I can't prep two duties on first week of new revision.
It used to be a 15 minute prep test. However, it doesn't really prove anything because if it did then they would have made sure that everyone's indoor workload is evenly balanced, and it's not, it's f***ed. Some staff only ever prep one frame and spend 10-15 minutes doing a bit of IPS while others are tasked with trying to prep two. To this day I've never managed to fully prep one frame in 10 minutes.
When was it 15 minutes ? because the only one I’m aware of is the 1 minute test into an empty and single slot frame.
For us it was 2 mins into an empty frame. However it it totally different now as I had one, which I failed dismally.
For me it was coming in PT hours with a later starting Ptmer. I was tested from first letter to completion of all mail on both duties, that's sequenced, IPS, missorts.
My defence was no can ever do the same test as the mail variables are so high. It's an unfair test that I underwent. And it was on first week of revision.
One of the reasons we have so many rouge mangers is because of some of the responses in this thread.
Do you think if you pass the 1 minute test you can then sort at less than half that rate with impunity?
Would it be a "rouge" manager who picked you up on this?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

How do you pass the test and then sort at half the rate ? Either you pass and it’s the only one they can use or you don’t.

Again this what what you were told but isn’t what the agreed standard is.
There is simply nothing they could’ve done to you for failing it.

On Monday they say we are going to test you.
In 1 minute you sort 35 letters - passing the test. (I think the pass was 25? Or was that IPS?)
On Tuesday you can't be arsed and only sort an average of 15 letters/minute.
Would you regard it as bullying if a manager pulled you up on Tuesday?

If I was being targeted each day for a prep test and no one else was then yes I would.
I know this because it is what happened to me.
I was also told the some of the same stuff people in this thread about 15 minutes tests amongst other things so I took it upon myself as the rep was useless to find out what the agreed standards and test was for my unit ( prep rates can vary in a unit and I think it was called the bsi at the time and ours was 32 ) and successfully put a bullying and harassment case against the manager doing it.
I was always way above the rate as the vast majority are and it’s only ever used as a bullying tactic by piss poor managers who are awful at their job.
The test is still only 1 minute into an empty rm2000.
Btw , the prep test is only in regards to prepping mail into a frame , there are none for ips or packet sorting.
