Simply this. It didn't replace the D2D payments. It is a new payment for being in deliveries. At the same time D2D payments ceased. If you didn't do deliveries for 1 day (you were on strike) then you lose 1/5 of your delivery supplement.

Sadly this is false, it DID replace the D2D payments, also mail centre staff recieve this payment as well which is why the vote went in favour for this all those years ago, mail centre staff seeing free money and screwing over delivery staff

This. If it was for d2d, why would you get it on holiday or weeks you have none? It's just a supplement so as has been said, strike for a day and you'll get 1/5 of that supplement stopped.

Good point as it's a supplement attached to the particular job, although don't forget it is reflected in overtime pay up to full time 37 hours so if you're part time you do get it but only until you've reached 37 hrs.

Each type of office has got it's own supplement. Which supplement someone gets depends on the type of office that they're "tagged to"

Yeah we're just a delivery office so everyone here gets the delivery supplement.

The payment is for sorting it but everyone gets paid it as it is incorporated into the delivery supplement if the extra D2D causes you problems completing you should use the over running procedure!

The Delivery Supplement gets paid to all those working in the Delivery Function. I work in the CSP at my local office. I do not prep or sort D2Ds, (occasionally I tidy excess d2d for return). But I still get paid "Delivery Supplement"

That's what I'm trying to say. They stopped D2D payments and then paid us the delivery supplement instead. It just made it an easier way to pay us rather than us filling in D2D claim forms every week (and probably saving RM a fair few quid). Basically still paying us, but under a different name. The only reason they started paying us a delivery supplement was because they stopped the D2D payment.

You get the same money each week, no matter how many D2D you deliver on a given week
