I agree with you but rewards need to be earned not given to oneself as Simon says I am worth it £140,000 bonus while he begrudges the working man/woman anything but 2% for which they have more than earned!postslippete wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 20:55k979aaa wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 20:14As someone said we are a parcel firm that delivers letters who else does that so we are hindered with the infrastructure of our legacy product or could we utilize the infrastructure we have and grow the products which others cannot do. If this is the best of british innovation and minds at the forefront of our nation and business leaders we should shoot them all and demand they pay for the bullets they consumed!
But the CEOs of Royal Mail are not businessmen nor entrepreneurs. That is one of the reasons why we are so far behind the curve compared to our competitors and rather than being anything different we just seem to be copying their business model. Like you say we have a monopoly on letters which is a USP over our competitors but all the business is thinking about is how can we reduce the number of mail delivery days so that everyone is overworked. They have sold off many of the smaller rural DOs, they want rid of 700 managers, they have not adequately replaced full time staff as most offices run on OT. Now they want changes in our terms and conditions.
