Just phoned about taking my NRA 65.

There is one number to ring which should get everything sorted for RMSPS and RMPP.

They quote 3 weeks for forms to get to me to be completed.

Then 3 months to process the forms.

We shall see......

Can I ask what's the relevance of the new scheme to taking your other pensions?

dont really want to be in a pension for a couple of years hardly worth the hassle and only using the timescale for the new pension as a possible trigger nothing else

also looking to reduce my hours or possible job share in the next year or so and will probably take the dcbs lump sum built over the last 4 years or so

Personally I don't expect to be in RM employment for more than 6 months after the new CDC scheme starts, but have every intention of joining it.
It won't give me much of a pension. But with the ability to transfer out, paying in and taking advantage of the 'free money' is a no-brainer in my opinion.

You have 2 options with the DBCBS:

1. Take it predominantly with your NRA65 benefits.
2. Transfer it out to a DC pension, where only 25% is guaranteed to be tax free.

Presumably you are taking it early and not approaching NRA. Normally you only have to request a quote when taking any pension early.
