I have thought about this as well and asked the question on this site before see the new agreement section.asap99 wrote:As an angard AWR temp will I be getting the back pay from april2013 like the posties?

The answer I would think is NO because we work for Angard and not Royal Mail direct however I live in hope although I would have thought we should have heard by now. Royal Mail weekly paid staff should get their backdated pay next Friday 21st.

Re: will angard AWR staff get the back pay and pay rise from
When the RM permanent staff got their pay rise in 2012 we received the same increase in our pay. Hence, I do expect the increase as this will keep our pay in line with the permanents and compatible with AWR. I would also anticipate the back pay too - again to keep us in line for AWR purposes. What I do not expect is for this to go smoothly and a number of attempts will be made to work out the back pay. We will probably need to badger them for the back pay.Bazza01 wrote:I have thought about this as well and asked the question on this site before see the new agreement section.asap99 wrote:As an angard AWR temp will I be getting the back pay from april2013 like the posties?

Have the permanents received the increase yet?

As an Awr temp for angard or any other agency for that matter,I will never be employed by the company that I am assigned to work at.Hence AWR, giving us the same pay as the employed worker.so if this the case then surely it could only be called "AWR Avoidance" .plain and simple.?

If they don't pay they will be failing in their obligation under the rules of AWR but we don't yet know what is going to happen. Have you called or contacted payroll or Northampton to find out what they are going to do?asap99 wrote:As an Awr temp for angard or any other agency for that matter,I will never be employed by the company that I am assigned to work at.Hence AWR, giving us the same pay as the employed worker.so if this the case then surely it could only be called "AWR Avoidance" .plain and simple.?

Angard are not known for communicating anything successfully or well - I wouldn't expect to hear but expect it to just be done eventually. I never heard anything about any increase I have received - just suddenly an increase happening for work I have done. Then I asked questions as to why (i.e. increase in 2012 in line with permanents, increase after both 6 and 12 months service all just happened).Bazza01 wrote:I think we would have heard by now I would just like a shift at the moment it has not been this quiet for quite a while.Minischoles wrote:Well it's not in the payslips for payment this Friday so not sure if we will be getting it, emailed angard and they don't seem to know.

Angard replied to my email finally. Apparently Royal Mail are working on a document regarding it and we'll receive that in the next 14 days.

Not heard anything but I am expecting to be paid on the last possible day they are allowed to pay. No reason for them to pay early and lose the interest payments on the money owed.

Got an email on Friday, they are paying out on the 28th March - you get 3.0% payrise, plus 12.07% on that pay (to account for holiday pay).
Altogether you get 3.36% on anything you've earned since April last year, before tax.
