Lowest I have heard is in an MC at 65bsi and 130 for a DO. Not sure of the validity, really just throwing it out there.

I will await Dingos reply but this is not aimed at him specifically, but since RMC started I have always advocated that every Full Time Release rep, and Union Officer should spend some time every year working (not visiting) in some role within their area of responsibility and over a set number of years they should rotate which role they cover.

However, some believe that actual experience of the work is not required, a valid opinion, but not one I agree with.

How very dare you Billy was a walking postman in Liverpool, in the very distant past of course, but he is still in tune with the job I've advocated something a little stronger - that no full time release official serves more than two terms before reverting back to their original role - that way new blood with an up to date view of the current role would be in post instead of a bunch of career union bods eager to preserve their niche.
