With the d2d trial being done by Swindon the new machines to do d2d apparently put them in a single "royal mail" envelope that bursts open after dropping on the door mat? Clever if it works. There is a post within this forum that states that search the name of the machine "duplo" in main search to find it

with all the warnings of a 2 tier workforce in a privatised Royal mail it would seem pointless to remind Bob that we already agreed that with the performance level element in his long list of equations- A member in one office works at 70 bsi while another member in a different office at 100bsi for the same money.

Sounds great, so while you are prepping them, a whole bundle falls on the floor and hey presto you have hundreds of D2ds to put back into bags. Brill.

Lowest I have heard is in an MC at 65bsi and 130 for a DO. Not sure of the validity, really just throwing it out there.Danelectro wrote:with all the warnings of a 2 tier workforce in a privatised Royal mail it would seem pointless to remind Bob that we already agreed that with the performance level element in his long list of equations- A member in one office works at 70 bsi while another member in a different office at 100bsi for the same money.

maybe Dave and Billy should try doing a delivery for a week to see how they get on with our workloads .... in second thought physical exercise might hospitalise them or kill them

I will await Dingos reply but this is not aimed at him specifically, but since RMC started I have always advocated that every Full Time Release rep, and Union Officer should spend some time every year working (not visiting) in some role within their area of responsibility and over a set number of years they should rotate which role they cover.Godric wrote:maybe Dave and Billy should try doing a delivery for a week to see how they get on with our workloads .... in second thought physical exercise might hospitalise them or kill them
However, some believe that actual experience of the work is not required, a valid opinion, but not one I agree with.

How very dare you Billy was a walking postman in Liverpool, in the very distant past of course, but he is still in tune with the jobTrueBlueTerrier wrote:I will await Dingos reply but this is not aimed at him specifically, but since RMC started I have always advocated that every Full Time Release rep, and Union Officer should spend some time every year working (not visiting) in some role within their area of responsibility and over a set number of years they should rotate which role they cover.Godric wrote:maybe Dave and Billy should try doing a delivery for a week to see how they get on with our workloads .... in second thought physical exercise might hospitalise them or kill them
