good chance of a strike .i cant see many changes in negotiations.expect lots of posturing and lies and spin and general buffoonary from both sides.the c.w.u will sell us another deal of the century and we will toddle back to work wondering what the f**K happened.the honest postie will probably come out of this sorry mess dazed and very confused...so!!! not all bad..

I just don't get why they are letting RM have more time. They got that with the Boycott threat,the IA ballot should of been put in motion straight after that. Now it's atleast another month away before anything could happen.

I agree, I'm not sure about how the vote will go, as many are still unhappy from the last debacle.
We need a good turnout, and a high % yes vote, otherwise it will be the usual talk from RM and the media about us striking with no real mandate etc.

I think the tactics were all wrong last time and whilst there was a massive backlog of mail the service never came to a complete standstill and the IA dragged on for weeks ... in many ways it played into the hands of our competitors and was costly in terms of wages with OPGs put under pressure when they did return to work.

Next time out more needs to be accomplished in a shorter space of time and when staff do work they should only work their hours at an sustainable work rate, take their breaks, follow SOPs and SSOW and use the correct equipment at all times ... as has been said many times before .
