Now we knew about the 11 hour rule, but the four hour rule now means that when a collection needs to be covered on overtime in the afternoon, the managers are refusing to pay anyone if it means they are driving over four hours in a day, so some are losing docket. Surely this can't be right? It means someone else has to complete the collection, especially if it is a late sweep (6:30pm onwards). But yet coach drivers can drive for five and a half hours and only need to take a half hour break before continuing to drive!
If someone can help shed some light as to what the rules are, and whether these are Royal Mail rules or are the law. Thanks
