Anyway, not sure if this question has already been asked, so I apologise if it has..
Just interested to get an understanding of how this "machine" (RM) works!
I notice when I look at the tracking on my Specials that they seem to go from Doncaster Mail Centre where they are forwarded to say North West Midlands MC, then onto the final DO, but is there somewhere inbetween (a national distribution centre?) where all of the domestic packages pass through but aren't scanned?..
Also, when you post something at the PO or drop it in a post box, why do they always go to a mail centre that isn't the one closest to where it was posted?
My nearest MC is Lincoln, but packages only seem to go through there (according to tracking) if they are incoming rather than outgoing. But I would have imagined when the little RM van
