It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Excellent. Keeping the pressure on RM and building up the backlog all the time.

That'll be 6 strike dates, none of which have fallen on my day off. Yet my work colleague next to me will have had 2 of the 6 falling on his day off saving him £120. This can't be fair to all. :mad

I also have a feeling that if it is your day off then RM count you as being at work - they still pay you for it.

Perhaps that is why all their attendance figures are out, that have 17% of people on their day off and 10% on annual leave - that is about 25% of people not crossing the picket line but still getting payed. It only takes a couple more in a small office to make 60%

Is that a cunning plan by RM? Deliver what they can to RM employees and make them think they are the only one on strike :)

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........... our office misses out on the Sat/Fri strike days cos we go out with the Mail Centre in Coventry but I'm happy to see a continuation of the waves of industrial action until RM cut all those strings.

I certainly DO NOT want to start @6:15am, see mail being delivered later or work longer on Saturdays.
