It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: strike dates
That'll be 6 strike dates, none of which have fallen on my day off. Yet my work colleague next to me will have had 2 of the 6 falling on his day off saving him £120. This can't be fair to all.comrade wrote:its my day off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh bugger its my turn to get the cakes in then

I also have a feeling that if it is your day off then RM count you as being at work - they still pay you for it.
Perhaps that is why all their attendance figures are out, that have 17% of people on their day off and 10% on annual leave - that is about 25% of people not crossing the picket line but still getting payed. It only takes a couple more in a small office to make 60%

Is that a cunning plan by RM? Deliver what they can to RM employees and make them think they are the only one on strike :)boltonpostman wrote:ive lost a fortune up to now glad everybody is so happy ? i turned up at picket line this morning no one there ? and then i recieved some mail this morning is this happening round the country ? made me well pissed off

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........... our office misses out on the Sat/Fri strike days cos we go out with the Mail Centre in Coventry but I'm happy to see a continuation of the waves of industrial action until RM cut all those strings.
I certainly DO NOT want to start @6:15am, see mail being delivered later or work longer on Saturdays.
