Sadly that'll never happen as it would massively fail the 1C quality of service and also would fail all the specials, we send the specials out on the wave 2, which with your idea anything on wave 2 would automatically fail, including all the specials.

There's an extra day built in to first class with the USO reforms, specials could be done by a few vans.

It is not true that there is nothing that can be done. Workloads could be reduced allowing more time to take more breaks and to complete deliveries. No one has going to say no to smaller walks.

Not sure RM are forcing staff to stay out until all the post is delivered, so they are effectively allowing smaller walks.

Although how can RM shorten walks just for the summer anyway.

If summers continue like this, or even get worse, RM are going to have to allow earlier starts, as I assume they must do in Spain etc?

Have a bit of sense. They can’t force you to stay out/work a minute past your time.

That's the issue, finishing at 3pm/4pm is far too late when temperatures are hitting 30c+ and according to the weather "experts" summer temperatures are only going to increase.

I wish it was 3pm. We’ve been after 4pm for years already. Looking at not far off 5pm with DM26. Not a thing can be done unfortunately. This is all part of what the Union and RM agreed for its members.
