Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
Quite a few items that we send through to DOs as "packets" are technically large letters. A good example is a standard sized DVD case in a jiffy bagcitypostie wrote: ↑09 Jul 2026, 21:30No they didn't years ago before tracked became a thing, I was a bulk/parcel and bags driver. It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
There’s a couple of offices on that list within 30 miles of me. The difference from when they have been on the list before is that there are still overtime bans in place and they are not shipping in staff from other offices, it’s almost like they have given up.

Re: Offices 'officially' in trouble?
It's all cost cutting along with results manipulation. Once an office has Doom26 it'll be allowed OT so they don't appear here. Then RM hails them all a great success when it's just lies.

Units that report three consecutive days of 30% of DPs failing USO gets you on the list and public RM service disruption website. Then you need three consecutive days below 30% to get off the list (well below and back to stable USO)
If you have ever held an official Major League baseball, you have held the number 216 in your hand. Every standard baseball is constructed with exactly 216 stitches of red cotton thread holding the cowhide together.

99% sure. I didn't bother to search back further than last Christmas, but it's a given every Christmas is worse than the last and it was only 156 then.
That it's this bad in July reeks of intention. Presumably OT bans are national-ish policy so units are potentionally being instructed to save budgets now for the imminent implementation of DM26. It also helps create the sense of crisis to which they can then offer up DM26 as the solution (as they are doing in response to every complaint from elected representatives).
The machine stops.

That's what I thought, strip it to the bone now, intentionally make it shitter than ever, then implement DM26 along with unlimited overtime/overstaffing and f**k me it's amazing.Mr Rush wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026, 15:2999% sure. Then I thought....
Oh hang on what's the next step as DM26 has to fail to instigate the next attack on the USO, I'm confused now.
What's next ?
