It all seems oddly well organised if it's not being brought in until later this summer in your DO.smok3y666 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 17:40Duties have changed by getting bigger and have been evened out best as possible, they're all up on the board for everyone to see so when they pick they know exactly what they are picking like on a map. Don't know about 2c. Singletons have had or seem to have had the most added to them.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 16:09New duties ? how have the duties changed ?smok3y666 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 16:06Already in ours, having re-pick now. New duties gone up and told it's coming in end aug begin sept.A2B wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 15:59Whispers that a plan is already in place for our office, time will tell how true that isnorris9 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 12:29How long is it going to take to implement....
Is Royal Mail and the CWU going to take an age working out which duties will go together in a 4. Which duties remain singletons. Which duties get reduced in size to create new duties.... have any of these decisions already been made?
I hope they answer this in their CWU live later.
Apart from the changes to how often 2c etc is delivered, did you get a revision to change the duties .
Repick is pretty much nearly done and as said been told end aug begin sept it will be in and was told that last Monday as it was my pick.
There's no rotating the duties, we thought the 3 people would be rotated weekly but it's same 1 person in one van and same 2 people in other van.
DPR drivers not been included.
No new or old removed duties have been added.
In our office it will literally be 3 people doing 4 peoples work 50/50 per day.
So vote was pretty pointless as from what it seems in our office it was done deal.

Well there was never any logic in withholding the agreed pay rise if it wasn't link to a yes vote.Zicomurphy wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 18:09“As this agreement has now been confirmed, the 3% pay rise for old contracts will be paid on the 5th of June for weekly paid workers and by 30th of June for monthly paid workers”
They told us the 3% pay rise was a separate agreeement and not linked to the result of this ballot. Nice to be told barefaced lies by the union.

Re: Result prediction thread
They been selling it to us for 6 months or more so it will be well organised if they've known about it for at least that long. They came in months ago and changed the fittings to vertical prep and added the colour coding thing to the fitting months ago. Oh and fittings have been moved around some weeks ago so they all tie up with how the new walks are paired.
Like I said I picked last Mon and i'm roughly half way down list of picks and the new duties in the form of maps are up for people to see what has been added and removed. Then the repick is Singles, Covers, single van driver and pairings (3 people, 4 duties). We were told that they would rotate the 3 people on 4 duties so everyone has a go at walking and driving but they changed their mind for some reason.
Based on how all this has happened in our office at least i'm surprised anyone thought the vote actually mattered.

DM26 says that staff will have their own duty whereas ODM was working in groups. One of the few plus pointsWe were told that they would rotate the 3 people on 4 duties so everyone has a go at walking and driving but they changed their mind for some reason.

All of the offices that have already started should be clearing. They're operating the new model but they have extra staff to mop up any excess. Once the staff levels are corrected then it will be 33% extra work for those left.norris9 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 18:45How the heck is it 33% extra work if the offices trialling this, or who have already started this way of working are clearing.funkflex55 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 17:26Who the hell votes yes for doing an extra 33 percent work in return for what? The 3 percent pay rise that was agreed last year and that marches inflation so isn't actually a pay rise.
They must have had it easy before this if they had 33% less work, must have been going home 2 and a half hours early.
This said....
Is Martin not giving us all the details...
He's saying Manchester South East and Shepperton have been clearing with these changes....
if they are clearing on overtime then he's selling us a lie. He's telling us that they cleared with the changes with no overtime?
Some of us don't do excess.

Re: Result prediction thread
The bit about rotating the 3 people on 4 duties is incorrect. There's no rotation to do. 2 people work as a van share and 1 on their own. They all drive unless a non driver is paired on the van share.smok3y666 wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 20:34They been selling it to us for 6 months or more so it will be well organised if they've known about it for at least that long. Re: Result prediction thread
The second vote was for newbies to accept or reject there (extra) 1.75%..why would legacy staff get a vote on that.postmanplod2026 wrote: ↑30 May 2026, 08:20so only newbies had the second vote so might explain the yes vote to make sure its a yes vote no exactly fair is it, should be asking all the staff
