Finish on time

That's it I've had enough, 15 years on the same delivery, over the last 18 months I've had 160 + newbuilds and it's growing weekly/ monthly ,management don't care ,they think im superman and turn a blindeye ,others in my office getting back before time and go home ,others come in 45 minutes early for nothing at 6.30 am and then scan in at 7.10 am , favourites galore in my office ,I don't particularly want too ,but if management don't care why should I, im finishing on time now , how do I go about this ,do I leave different areas of mail each day etc ,mix it up a little , my office likes you to take it out with you and bring back what you can't deliver ,but you have to get back even earlier that way to put the mail back in the frame for the next day , obviously I will have to do tracked etc as we don't want managers not getting there bonuses do we .
This company is absolutely on its knees ,making a simple job so complicated with all these crap idea's and changes .
Any advice please on best way to finish on time .

Drop one bag or two if needed then rotate every day,just put mail back in next day,give probably about an hour or so to clear tracked if busy this way they will actually see what is achievable.

The official way is to go to your manager say you need to leave x amount of times worth of delivery what would you like me to leave me behind?

Don't take no for an answer the longer it takes them to decide the more you leave behind.

Unless it's really small bundles we don't throw them back in, we just take them back out next day and leave the mail in those bundles are for.. but yeah, usually in the morn I just say I'm leaveing a loop or two in, we hardly ever clear walks nowdays.. It's all about those damn tracked!

Leave the running in mail till next day tell manager you need time to run it back in if he doesn't give you time put in a tray under frame when it starts building up he will need to give you the time.let him stress about it.

DO NOT leave anything before informing a manager you won't be able to complete and then let them decide what to do. Doing it of one's own volition could get you in serious trouble as that's wilful delay.

If you have say 11 loops, take out loops 1-9 and leave loops 10 and 11 in the frame.
Then next day start at loop 10 and 11 first, then go to loops 1-7 and so on and so on.

Sounds like they work in a small DO with probably a very comfortable COM in charge.
We have over 100 walks at my DO and it has been an utter shitshow for years now, the only saving grace is the multiple COMs in charge are as stressed and desperate as I've ever seen them.

Best advice I can give is educate yourself and act smart.

-Ask a manager what they want you to leave.
-If you don’t want confrontation, say you’re caring for a relative or picking up your child from school or whatever.
-If they question your work rate, ask them to come out with you on delivery to show what you are doing wrong (they won’t).
-If you’re compared to another postie, or told you’re being difficult or reasonable, ask them to put it in writing.
-If moved onto other rounds when others aren’t moved, ask why you’re being treated differently to others. Ask for the area managers details (they love that).
-Manager asking you to work in another office (as punishment)? Make sure you start and finish at your own office, and ask for transport.
-Traffic was good and you’re back 10mins early and they want to send you back out? Head for a bathroom break.
-Above all else, watch your back. Take pictures of your empty van at the end of the shift.

You have all the power, you just have to play the frankly stupid game. But please, think and act smart. You should know by now how things work, if not familiarise yourselves with the agreed standards.

I got taken into a meeting once for putting mail back in the frame when I'd got back. It wasn't much, but was told that by putting it back in the frame it meant that the duty had failed.

Ridiculous rules. No idea if that's still actually the rule or if the manager pulled that rule out of their butt cheeks or what.
