There might be one more of these next month before the scheme is closed after the takeover offer becomes unconditional.
Yes I’m counting on there being one more, that then gives me the £12k I budgeted for. Can’t see there being one in March though I expect deductions will still be made in Feb, as part of the scheme, but then returned in wages, net of Tax/NI.
Overall, these SAYE and P&SM schemes have worked out ok for us, only because of the Tax and NI savings - and the general nature of disciplined savings commitment.
If you’d bought on the open market (unless it was in 2023 when in the £2.xx doldrums), it’ been a poor performing share.
The dividends were a good yield, but that didn’t last long.
i only started buying a couple of years back, got 52 free as now but better than a kick up the jacksie,
i was pt on the float date but got around 6k worth now,
something for a rainy day, though i knew a few who got 6k a few years back when they rocketed up
I suppose the obvious question is - if people still have shares and have agreed to sell them, when does the money come through?
Give it 14 days or so. It will be somewhere in the offer document
Thanks.
I'm really just thinking of selling a chunk of mine and getting £3.65 a share for them, versus waiting a few more months and only getting £3.68 (the other 2p is a dividend AFAIK). Is there any downside to this if i'm only selling a few 100 and losing about £2 per 100 shares?

You need to keep your ears open for the 'unconditional date', payments are expected to be made no more than 14 days afterwards.
We don't yet know when that will be, other than it's expected in the 'first quarter of 2025'. So if there's no changes to that, the latest you'll get your money should be mid April.

Thanks very much Robert.
To answer my other question, is there any downside to selling a quantity just now rather than wait until getting the money in mid April? Apart from the £25 fee plus difference in share price, which I estimate to be about £10-£20 in total.
Share price is sitting at £3.66 to sell this aternoon.

Financially there's obviously not much difference, so it's down to personal choice.
But I think I can remember reading somewhere that if you've already accepted the offer, you have to cancel that before you can sell in the normal way.

Ok, that's the kid of thing I was thinking about - I'd have to cancel that, which isn't worth the hassle. My locked in/conditional shares will be paid out without tax and NI though, won't they?

Thanks again.
The literature seems to suggest all SIP shares will be free from income tax, NIC's and CGT: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=115119
