Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
That's good to know thanks
. If DK gets enough yes votes & the deal goes ahead. What is the deadline date for the vote & if it's a yes, do we stop buying shares immediately or do we keep buying them until it's all gone through? Haven't got a clue about how any of this works

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
They have said the scheme continues until such time as the takeover is complete. The government’s review of whether the bid will be allowed to proceed is expected to take at least 2 months, meaning a decision sometime in October. The whole process is not expected to be concluded (if the bid is cleared) until around the end of the current financial year.
So we could get another 7 allocations of shares yet.
On a current share price of 340p, each of those seven allocations actually costs us about £78 (allowing for the tax break) so we get say 29 shares + 2 matching shares each month worth £114.70 at the offer price !

The scheme will cease if the bid is successful and the company de-lists from the Stock Marketwolfman wrote: ↑22 Aug 2024, 17:52Thanks for thatwandle wrote: ↑22 Aug 2024, 11:44They have said the scheme continues until such time as the takeover is complete. Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
September update 17/09/24
34 shares purchased @ £3.4203 + 2 free per £100 gross/monthly investment.
Anyone paying in the full £100pm since this scheme first started should now have a total of 2864 shares (2720 + 144) worth a total of £10596 at the takeover offer price.
NB. The full takeover offer price is advertised to be £3.70 per share but 2p of that is an ordinary dividend which will be paid anyway even if the deal falls though.
We will also receive an additional £3.68 per share some of it as a special dividend and the rest in cash, if the deal succeeds.

I can accept the residue from last month adds an extra quid or so but that would only by 1 extra share, if at all.
In my case it was £1.56 residue from Sept purchase so £101.56 available for October.
16/10/2024 29 shares @ £3.428... cost £99.42

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
Have you got a total of 2893 shares (2747 + 146)? if not you must have started later because I only had £92.57 available to buy shares this month.posted wrote: ↑18 Oct 2024, 16:31hmm, my £100 gross bought me 29 shares this month.robking wrote: ↑17 Oct 2024, 16:11October update 16/10/24

I've been in the scheme since it first started but people who joined it later would have different amounts of money in their accounts available to buy shares.

Re: Partnership share matching scheme December?
I have significantly less but I think that’s irrelevant to this as we’ve both contributed the same amount in the same period and shares were bought on same day at same price.robking wrote: ↑18 Oct 2024, 20:26Have you got a total of 2893 shares (2747 + 146)? if not you must have started later because I only had £92.57 available to buy shares this month.posted wrote: ↑18 Oct 2024, 16:31hmm, my £100 gross bought me 29 shares this month.robking wrote: ↑17 Oct 2024, 16:11October update 16/10/24

NB. The full takeover offer price is advertised to be £3.70 per share but 2p of that is an ordinary dividend which will be paid anyway even if the deal falls though. THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID
We will also receive an additional £3.68 per share some of it as a special dividend and the rest in cash, if the deal succeeds.
If the offer succeeds, each shareholder will receive, for each share:
360p cash
8p dividend, payable only if the deal completes
2p dividend for the 2023/24 Financial Year. (This last bit was payable irrespective of the deal completing, and has already been paid)
That's what the 370p-per-share consists of !!
So, if the takeover now completes, you will receive 2893 x 368p, which is £10,646.24 (updated to include October 2024 allocation)

January update 16/01/25
26 shares purchased @ £3.646 + 2 free per £100 gross/monthly investment.
There might be one more of these next month before the scheme is closed after the takeover offer becomes unconditional.
