They are going to have to decide if inward or 2C/T48 get priority. Given that we only have an early 2C dispatch, they're not going to have any choice but to prioritise 2C/T48 over inward, even if it means DOs getting a larger chunk of their work on wave 2.

Re: Banned extended overtime in some offices
Offices across the country may be...
- Failing well over 30% for two consecutive days but dipping under 30% on the third thus not meeting the criteria
- Consistently scraping under the threshold (29% every day)
- Over but not reporting their failures accurately ("29% every day")
- It's not an exhaustive list, just the catastrophes with press attention
The machine stops.

The CWU were the BT union back in the day were they not? Still are as wellMr Rush wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 19:08Offices across the country may be...
In my opinion the CWU, as the duly recognised trade union, should have had reps independently verifiying the state of offices. Especially when the parliamentary committee was investigating the company, while instead it was up to employees to send in anecdotes. You can give it a go in your office, though expect to bring down some serious bricks on yourself when realities clash (the graphs are sealed under the 30 year rule

They must have missed you out when handing brains out. Overtime bans and massive reductions in casuals have a knock-on affect down the line as stuff goes out later. If they make this reduction long term then they'll have to push the dispatch times back again for the runs to the DOsLondonsburning wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 14:58Your reply has absolutely f**k all to do with the comment you replied to space phoenix. These offices are just the worse of the worse. Why doesn't RM publish a list of ALL the offices and how many deliveries have failed that day? That is the only way to make managers and the business accountable for its actions but instead all they are doing is covering everything up just like they have been doing for years.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Only thing stopping them putting them back further is the SDs. If RM did away with the timed ones or if RM did actually merge PF into RM, and transferred the SDs over to the former PF then there'd be nothing stopping them from pushing the dispatch times back. You're deluded if you think they can never push the dispatch times back more.TopperGas wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 21:46There's no way they can be pushed back any further, you really need to stop pushing that nonsense.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 19:59All our dispatch times to DOs were put back an hour during the last changesTopperGas wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 19:55"back again" were they ever changed as our DO as the same later starts/finishes it's always had since the last changes?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025, 19:32They must have missed you out when handing brains out. SP your mantra always seems to be, ''They'll be moving the Despatch Times back more''. As I've mentioned previously your insights into the mysteries of the Mail Centres are appreciated, and I acknowledge that this is a Discussion Forum, however I wish you'd stop envisioning scenarios of Doom & Gloom for Deliveries.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025, 07:51

You don't work in Deliveries and don't understand how we work. Simply dreaming up Ifs & Maybes doesn't help anyone. I believe there's a significant number of staff suffering from mental health issues , including anxiety issues, and just reading some of the Bullshit on this site is enough to cause them concern. Lets try and stick to the facts please.

Hear hear. Amazingly our mail centre colleague has mentioned dispatch/despatch in their posts 267 times, way back in 2011 they were touting later dispatch/despatch times. Apart from it coming across as some kind of comedy line (along the lines of ‘That’s another fine mess, shut that door, don’t call me Shirley, if anything dispatch times will become later’) it’s getting really boring now.Dorset Plodder wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025, 09:45SP your mantra always seems to be, ''They'll be moving the Despatch Times back more''. Most people in our office think the start times are gonna be pushed later as well which in scotland ain't ideal as we are late enough as it is.

Why, there's been no suggestions that's the case, even with the proposed USO reforms. It seems more likely delivery spans will be increased rather than start times pushed any later.

Re: Banned extended overtime in some offices
Anyone who thinks that dispatch times can't change again, frankly has their head up their arse. We've got the new owner coming in soon and there's bound to be some sort of "get out clause" that would allow him to rip up loads of agreements. Once the new owner comes in, all bets are offHTPostman wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025, 12:52Hear hear.
