Banned extended overtime in some offices

You have to wonder who at Ofcom is gladly taking the backhanders at this point. It is an open secret that the general public are being fleeced by Royal Mail

Revolving door. Ofcom takes on the former CEO of CommCorp because he knows the industry, then he leaves to become CEO of CorpComm because he knows the regulator. And the government washes its hands by empowering the quango to do nothing so it doesn't need to be seen doing anything.

Best thing about this is now most of us can have our Saturdays off because all the people itching for the ghost merge hours and overtime can cover them for us

Stop paying overtime causes runs to fail, including parcels.
Managers wave the white flag and beg for official permission to run delivery 3.0 or whatever it is called.

Yep same at my DO and it's been happening for well over a decade now. Scandalous behaviour by the COMs and all because they is cooking the books to make office look like it aint failing miserably

Well you have an obligation to report fraudulent accounting. If you simply comment about it on here and do nothing that makes you as bad as them.

It really is amazing how many posties moan and moan about figures being fiddled but just sit back and let it carry on.

It is better to just be a 'yes' man in this line of work. Let the managers be dictators. Posties cannot win. Let managers lie and lie and don't question anything and generally you are left in peace. If you question them even in the slightest they paint a target on your back and metaphorically push you out a window, Putin style. It's ridiculous, but it's how RM is run. CWU have done nothing to stop it.

I would guess it's budget related, if your office/area has the funds to pay overtime then it's permitted

3 days is all the overtime ban lasted in my office. Asked to come in at normal time today because rounds are failing.. it’s comical!

It looks like it's all types of office. They've just told local management to cut right down on the number of casuals/agency used. Not sure but I think they've cut right back on OT as well. Back to managers working.

They are going to have to decide if inward or 2C/T48 get priority. Given that we only have an early 2C dispatch, they're not going to have any choice but to prioritise 2C/T48 over inward, even if it means DOs getting a larger chunk of their work on wave 2.

Doesn't matter what comes in on wave 2 if it's late, it won't go out.
