People were voicing their opinions.
Maybe the union should take notice of that instead of slapping eachother on the back every time we get screwed over.

In my opinion there should be a poll or questionnaire asking us to feedback on what bothers us the most, can do it yearly.
Can do it yearly?
What like hold an AGM that all members can attend?

Most branches do that yet hardly anyone bothers to turn up.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Abusing someone is not voicing an opinion.

The only one pretending here is you. From the local level up they've never opposed the 'bad things'.
Why do you have a paid meal relief?

I'll wait.
I don't. And neither will the legacy contracts as them pair of clowns made clear on the CWU live. They're about to level the contracts - down.
Yes you do. You work in delivery and have been a postie since 2012.

Then there’s a need to be proactive. If something isn’t getting interest, look at why and fix it.

Surprise surprise, in todays busy world people are not willing to sit through hours of Union waffle after they’ve finished their round.

Setup a 2 minute online poll/survey, sent to every members email address and gauge the responses from there.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

The job as a "postman" is unsustainable. The harsh reality is post is dying and what's left of it is expensive to deliver.

The best option for posties is a 5 day USO - Mon-Fri - This is when most businesses who receive the bulk of their post work. The idea that we get a Wednesday off is laughable. :left:

Saturday will be doubled up packets between 2 duties - The union know this and are selling it as a "every other Saturday off" sweetener. :left:

Delivery supplement will go and the basic rate will increase "above inflation" - currently at 2.4% :left:

The union as far as I'm concerned were beaten at the last pay deal and are no longer respected - the same man is still "leading" our negations after bending over and shafting his members in the "biggest fight of our lives".

If you are young enough, get out... Get a trade or retrain. The job is dead
What's happening to our jobs has nothing to do with sustainability and everything to do with profiteering. Think about the job at the out break of COVID. It was slowed right down and it was brilliant. As soon as the capitalists realised they were losing they reverted to type and sped the job back up. There's more than enough work and the job could last forever. It won't whilst we're being exploited to make massive profits for the capitalists. The CWU has brought the idea hook, line and sinker that it needs to go faster for longer. It doesn't but that's what happens when a union is dominated by clowns who don't do the job, couldn't do the job, wouldn't do the job and never will do the job.
Problem is RM aren't making any profits, I've no idea why not given the volume of parcels we're expected to deliver, but the fact is RM is loss making, possibly they are cooking the books but why do that and so get less '£'s for their shareholdings when we're sold to DK?
I thought RM Group made about £60million profit last results
Might be wrong though

Apologies. So tell me, which bit have I got wrong?

Were you lying about being a postie since 2012, or lying about working in delivery?

Parcel delivery is a completely distorted market because all the other operators undercut us in regulation, service, and employee T&Cs. Evri and Yodel and the other bottom of the barrel couriers offer dirt cheap postage because of... magic? RM has been studying the dark arts. We will bear witness to its mastery.
The machine stops.

Fair enough.

This forum is open to all, even people who lie about being long serving delivery posties so they can spread lies about the CWU, so carry on.

Not a delivery postie, not a CWU member, yet comes on here ranting about whether the CWU stands up for posties.

Just wierd.
