First ten minutes don't bother, Webby just saying how great everything is. No dramatic announcements follow but if you're interested:
at approx 10 mins - start times
16 mins - USO
21 mins - New entrants pay/conditions esp wrt the new living wage increase and comparison
But it's all 'jam tomorrow/something we've got to push on with in discussions/looking at it' - my paraphrasing obviously.

Re: RM Deliveries CWU Podcast - 1
I have just listened to the first 20 minutes before turning it off.
Your summary is spot on. Like all CWU communications it consists of we are having meeting after meeting about one hundred and one things but we have nothing to say about them.

Meetings, committees, sub committees, policy documents, agenda, mechanisms, post implementation reviews, assistant secretary, branches, culture.
Pretty much every union buzzword was covered, sadly nothing will change. The union lost what little power it had in the last dispute. All the meetings they have with Royal Mail management is just for show.
2025 will be an interesting year, takeover and probable USO change to come over the next 12 months. My money is on Dave Ward taking his retirement next year as he knows the game is up.

I need a podcast that enrages me to keep me sharp on my last loop as the sun sets. Evri hits the street before us now.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑12 Nov 2024, 17:26Any good or one to put on before drifting into a deep sleep?

Re: RM Deliveries CWU Podcast - 1
The best bit is RM will still announce some major changes sooner or later and then the CWU will say they haven't agreed to the changes but we'll have to accept them anyway!!chickenwittle wrote: ↑12 Nov 2024, 19:52Exactly this , that’s all you ever hear from these clowns, we are in discussions, absolute blaggers the lot of them.

We’ll send a “stronger worded” letter to company highlighting our concerns.
Then agree anyway

Re: RM Deliveries CWU Podcast - 1
Did they really expect people who would maybe do a couple of hours overtime each day in the afternoon to suddenly want to stay out to 5-6pm once these new hours came in?

I'd rather pull my fingernails out with electrified glowing hot tweezers than listen to a CWU podcast. I imagine its literally like listening to a bunch of overpaid sell outs reading a script that Royal mail gave them. No idea why people are still members tbh.yellowbelly wrote: ↑12 Nov 2024, 15:31Direct link to it below or it's on Spotify or Soundcloud (whatever the hell that is):
