Re: 35 hrs
Won't it be close enough to divide your current take home by 37 then multiply by 35 ?

Re: 35 hrs
You won't lose much. I reduced my hours from 32 to 30 at the beginning of April. I'm only £9 a week worse off. It's all pro rato, you pay less tax, less union fees etc.

Royal Mail & CWU Joint Communication
Several questions have been raised recently in relation to the introduction of the Shorter Working Week, the reduction to 38hrs and the new 35hr full time contracts. As a result meetings have taken place between Royal Mail & CWU to provide joint clarification to the
issues that have been raised. The purpose of this joint document is to provide clarity on the most frequently asked questions:
1. With effect from 1st October 2018, 35hrs is the contract we will use for all future full time OPG contracts (whether they be new recruits or part time uplifts from existing employees).
2. Employees on the new 35hr contracts will be listed on PSP as full-time employees but using a different position code to that used for our full-time employees on 38hr contracts.

Irrelevant, ALL full time duties here are 37hrs, anything less than that is deemed to be a part time dutyrogersh wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 08:12Royal Mail & CWU Joint Communication

Deemed part time by whom? It literally says in the paragraph above that all 35hr contracts are classed as full time.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 08:30Irrelevant, ALL full time duties here are 37hrs, anything less than that is deemed to be a part time dutyrogersh wrote: ↑16 Sep 2024, 08:12Royal Mail & CWU Joint Communication

Re: 35 hrs
It is full time.
It is just less hours than a 37 hour contract, so obviously you get a smaller Xmas bonus.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
