If you are in delivery and your contracted non OT pay is being linked to SISO then you need to get onto the union ASAP as this is absolutely 100% not agreed or allowed to happen
I hear what you're saying AD but you'll have to explain how that is incorrect (I understand the not agreed bit).
If my contracted hours are 0700 - 1400 and I scan in at 0700 and out at 1400 that's what I'm paid no problem.
If I scan in at 0700, Work an hours Pressure OT, and scan out at 1500 I get paid that hours OT.
The only thing I can't do is scan in at 0700, not take my MR, scan out at 1320 and expect to be paid until 1400
Perhaps I didn't explain myself properly. TBH there's no problem with it. Just the intial push back against enforced change.
You explained yourself fine. Whats happening is not allowed by the manager.
No pay should be docked from contracted hours because you scanned out early. Overtime is a different matter as thats negotiable and not contractual b ur they cannot dock you half an hours pay if one day you do your work and scan out half an hour early. Your manager can tell you that you need to stay in the office until your scheduled finish time but it was explicit in the agreement of SISO that pay cannot be docked. At least for now. The action they should be taking if someone regularly scans out early and goes home when they have been told not to is to go down the conduct code - not to dock pay.
If you are saying the manager is docking peoples pay then see the union. Now.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
Ignore it. The guy literally doesn't know what he's talking about. Part of our workplan has involved part of our break off the end of shift for years to no detriment. Any revision activity has always taken this into account.
He may very well know what he's talking about RH. I've just posted on another Thread about this. We "Used" to use a similiar system to you both, booking 20 mins Unclaimed MR at the end of the day, that's now been stopped.
Duty times are now recorded, and paid, from SISO. Just because we've being doing something for years without any problems doesn't mean the "New Royal Mail" aren't going to mess about with it in the every increasing search to save a few pennies to give to the Shareholders.
Good Luck in keeping your Old Agreement, perhaps it's just the Lazy Bastard Managers that can't be bothered to work through, and enter, the paper OT sheets that are pushing this?
Nah, He really doesn't. Iv been involved in numerous revisions and currently undertaking another one now. The data used acknowledges the current workplan and break times. It has also just been agreed nationally that to mitigate later finishes, part of ones break can be taken at the end of shift.
Skipping breaks, starting early and cutting corners on the other hand will obviously not be discounted and a detriment to the office as a whole.

I explicitly asked this question to our DOM today in our WTLL on the network time changes, and he said part of the break cannot be taken at the end of the shift (ie clock out 20 minutes early) as it had been prevented by the higher-ups! Do you have a source for the national agreement, Ren Hoëk? Not a trick question — I have been saving half of my break and leaving 20 mins early pretty much since I went permanent, and I would like to continue if possible. Not fussed about starting later too much but would like to continue to shorten my working day by 20 mins if I can. (Our depot’s standard change is 55 minutes later, last lorry now at 8.20 am-ish.)

Get used to being f****d over. Not to worry though, your finishing time will be 17.00 before you know it.
Welcome to being a permanent, bottom of the seniority list Postie!!
Will be able to take 2nd break at end of shift so effectively leave 20 minutes earlier than times quoted. Happy with this but can totally understand the anger for people who have been fcuked over.
Charlie Buckets golden ticket
That looks delicious.
We've had an hour added on. In a sub, traffic for our mail and parcels arriving will see us getting out a lot later than an hour.
A few of us in processing have our 20 mins break at the end of the shift. We used to be able to leave early but since siso came in we have to sit & wait until our official finish time

Thank you for your most helpful contribution, ex postie. Do send my regards to the other ex colleagues who have become obsessed since being pushed out, err, quit - MWalker et al.
Take your full break and cut off simple, I don’t know any other job you leave early because of smaller break and it will be used against you to dock overtime which is already happening at our office

Lol. You should reapply for your old job at Amazon. Instead of bigging up/whining about Royal Mail on this forum.
4.30pm finishes coming in at my unit. There are at least half a dozen peeps with childcare issues in my office awaiting with interest our COMs proposals for getting them finished by 3.15pm at the latest. He's already not the happiest of chaps after virtually the entire staff have told him not to bother asking them to work their rest days once the new times are embedded.
You really want to apply for your old RM job back. But as you well know, they don’t want you back, chum. Still, at least you retain your seniority in the dole queue!
Admin, isn’t it time that “ex colleagues” are restricted from commenting in the Blue Shirts section? Their interjections are nearly always disruptive, detracting and unhelpful. We are debating a subject that is contentious and delicate for some members — not myself, I hasten to add —and we should be having a productive, respectful and on-point debate. As an esteemed member put it on another thread, let’s debate the post, not the poster (author).
the siso recording system last time I saw it, has a toggle to adjust for "end shift meal breaks", which means it'll move it 20 minutes earlier if that's fine at your office.
Sounds like someone's manager is making up their own rules again.

We have A 25MIN later start and later finish.
My latest finish now 1500. So, can still do the school run as no probs taking meal relief at the end of shift.
Just.
I don't think it will end here, though, and have got the CV out.
