Re: New start times
It doesn't cause an issue because it if factored into the siso times if that's the way do it in your office. It's the same in mine and hundreds of others, it it was sorted with the knowledge of the higher ups as space phoenix like to call them.LouBarlow wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 10:35I can’t speak for others, but we just scan out twenty minutes early. It has been that way since scanning in and out started, so if it was causing issues for our managers, I’m sure it would have been stopped by now.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 10:09Less than a 7 hour shift is only 30mins total breaktime.hans solo wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 09:156.45 7.15 7.00 7.15 7.15 6.15. 6.59 7.29 7.14 7.29 7.29 6.29 35 hr times
20/20 min split break usually about 8.45 and end of shift
P&l always late
22 miles from mail centre
30 mins when roads quiet
Are you physically staying on site and not just scanning out and going home 20mins early? In the current climate I don't think it's going to be long before the higher ups start questioning COMs, MCMs and shift managers (in any MC or DO) about any occurrences of people finishing before their official finish time

Re: New start times
Thankyou. Hope it all works out for you too.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 10:28Hope you manage to get it sorted. I am sure there is still plenty of work that can be done in the morning prior to the lorry arriving.Philbag70 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 10:22I'm off work A/L, and this morning I received a SD A4 envelope with all my new times and how to appeal.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 09:12So has anyone been given their new start times today? Apparently something is going up on the noticeboard at our office today telling us what the new start time will be and when it will start. I’m on a day off today so won’t get to see it until tomorrow. Tempted to ask someone in work to send me a photo of it!
My times have changed by 60 minutes which affects my personal life quite significantly. I will, of course, be appealing for my exemption
We were told we would receive a letter by SD today, Monday, merely telling us if we were people affected, and then that there would be a communication placed on the noticeboard today, also Monday, telling those affected their new times. No letter as yet but still early in the day. I will update…
I've just completed my exemption form. Fingers crossed

Re: New start times
When your DO is next told to make savings, if you add up all them 20mins or however much time you're making every day, they're going to be told that they're having at least them hours taken out your DO.citypostie wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 11:01It doesn't cause an issue because it if factored into the siso times if that's the way do it in your office. Re: New start times
Not they are not, you don't know what you're talking about! Nobody is making 20 minutes, it's half their allowed break which they are allowed to take at the end of the duty, makes no difference that they are signing out 20 minutes before their time because the siso has been set with the finish time 20 minutes earlier to allow for the part of meal relief. So people are clocking off at the correct time not 20 minutes early. My finish time is 14.55 but the siso is set for a clock out time of 14.35 it's that simpleSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 12:23When your DO is next told to make savings, if you add up all them 20mins or however much time you're making every day, they're going to be told that they're having at least them hours taken out your DO.citypostie wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 11:01It doesn't cause an issue because it if factored into the siso times if that's the way do it in your office. Re: New start times
There's no such thing as a "clock out time" with the SISO. It just sends a record of any sign in or sign out scans off to wherever they process the data. If you scan out at 14:35 the system will show you as finishing at 14:35. It doesn't record any reason for an early scan out.citypostie wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 13:11Not they are not, you don't know what you're talking about! Re: New start times
I'm sure its fairly obvious but these times are the base number so when seasonal variation kicks in obviously you have to add another 24 mins.

15 minutes for us
We are about 5 miles from the Mail centre so that’s helped. I’d be annoyed if I was working in Scotland.
