We just been told our shorter days as in Monday and Tuesday are 8.55 to 15.55 and longer days as in Wednesday, Thursday are 08.25 to 16.25. Think Saturday is something like 8 30 to 15.30. Better not buy my season ticket for next season. :cry

I'm kinda bewildered that they are convinced that road and rail is more reliable than air... trains and lorries still struggle in the snow too. (At least planes can still TO in the snow, trains are generally stranded). Watch this space, their next big idea will be to use megabus coaches for long distance cause they're going that way anyway

Wow that's just s**t, not looking forward to it at all, not just the later times but, commuting, in summer the do will be baking hot as soon as work starts, plus delivering will be awful, bet they don't even adjust the 1pm deadline for specials.

THAT is a bloody good point... for walks starting at 10:30, it's potentially impossible, unless you waste time diverting to do all of the specials first. Or maybe they'll get shifted onto parcel duties instead in that case (probably not though cause that actually makes sense :chuckle )

Do we have any idea when these later start times are planned to come in?

We will be kept in the dark until the last minute and then when the times are changed it will be a shitshow.

In June if your start time moves more than 15 minutes.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

So...

-Have to drive to work in rush hour.

-Leave work around 4pm, maybe the road traffic isn't too bad at this time, apart from Fridays, but traffic is far clearer at 2pm.

-Working through the hottest part of the day in the summer.

-Working in the dark for 1 hour+ in the winter - more injuries, more inefficiencies in delivery ie. finding properties.

-Special Deliveries by 1pm going to cause inefficiencies.

-Will a lot of people stop doing overtime now?.... who wants to be doing 30, 40, 60 minutes of overtime when your going to finish at ~5pm and be going home in rush hour traffic, as well as working in the dark in winter!

Overtime will get done before shift the next day rather than after shift meaning deliveries are pushed back further. It’s what the customers want.

It will be utterly confusing, backed by a 9 page LTB by the union.

If it’s a Monday and your surname begins A-D then you start 17 minutes later unless you are park and looping, if your colleagues first name begins with an E, L or U you both start 28 minutes later however that’s if it’s April, August or October. If it’s July, and the number of letters in your middle name add up to a prime number, it’s just 13 minutes later you start but if it’s your birthday month you start a full 24 hours later. If your socks are black or brown you add on another 3 minutes for each sock. And that’s just Monday.

Royal Mail will then change it depending on if it’s on peak, off peak, on off peak, on on peak, off off peak, off on peak or simply peak.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Start looking for another job yesterday. RM aren't looking after your best interests, the business is about one thing and one thing only.. Year on year cash profits for the investors, until the delayed but inevitable bail out by the UK government

That must be most extreme example as 90 minutes is supposed to be the maximum
So unless you are starting at 7.25 on a Monday that is harsh.
According to Tony Bouch offices starting 15 mins later will start in April and the longer days in June and to be able for people to begin appeal processes .
