I thought it was based on tracked only?
I’m pretty sure our manager said clearing tracked and adhering to the USO, which would seem unlikely if offices failing on letters are still getting it. It was the 98% figure I believe you had to clear which sounds like the target for tracked.
The USO is around 98%, it's the tracked products that around 95% depending on the week.

Our office didn't receive the bonus last week. It would be appear to be easy to work out whether offices are reaching the Tracked performance as it would rely on items that are scanned ready for delivery and whether they were actually delivered or not.

But what isn't so clear (unless anyone can explain to me) is how Royal Mail actually calculate the 98% USO delivery point coverage? There are so many variables that allow for creative accounting to improve delivery targets. For example, what if the mail was held back in the mail centre or stood down in the delivery office? What about a few loops that have been left in the frame as I've been told that these are not classed as 'delivery failures' per se? What about the mail that COMs have told posties to take everything out even though several loops have been brought back?

Regardless, I believe that it is very unfair of a company to introduce a bonus scheme considering that not all offices have had a revision, never mind a fair revision that have made duties patently unachievable, even though some staff could be going over and above to complete their own duties every day whilst other staff are leaving the mail. Just seems to be a very unfair bonus scheme if this is the case imho.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Well apparently according to Thompson and co everything was cleared by Christmas so getting this bonus should be no problem.

Just wondering how fair this scheme is if its either creative accounting or inept managers ,walks that are way too long and so short staffed that some offices will fall way below the targets through no fault of their own, what i want to know is how the hell did the union agree to this and if they didn't what are they going to do about it and is their a case for a claim against royal mail.
It's definitely not fair at all. There's probably plenty of offices out there with under 10 rounds which are all sensibly sized.... compare that to a large office of 100+ rounds..... the latter has absolutely no chance of achieving the delivery targets with that many rounds.

We were miles off. At least 20% walks failed per day, customers complaining about tracked items with strange delivered/inaccessible data, yet.... 98% uso and 95% tracked compliance exactly... not even trying to be subtle 😂 a massive tick, have your £25 😂

Seams to be easy for DO’s to get this bonus vs Mail centres as do’s only have to clear but Mail centres need all do’s attached to it to clear to get the bonus.

How to win friends an influence them :( maybe silent quitting is the answer to this discriminative bonus.

The only thing the bonus should be tagged to is the tracked, its a disgrace we have to be incentivized to have the uso met especially just getting fined millions.

I think it is very unfair but also a waste of money.
I know some offices in the area that complete everyday and have lots of extra bodies to pick up the parcel overspill and fill in for sick.
Fair play to the staff in these places, rather see them get the bonus that not but they aren't probably working as hard as others in offices with multiple vacs who are forced to take all their parcels over Christmas and pressurised to complete.
Even then they have zero chance of hitting the bonus.
I think it just shows how out of touch those running the business are.
Have no concept of the day to day running.
USO figures are down to the discretion of the managers, the tracked performance is more transparent through the data.

What can they do?
If the company want to introduce a extra bonus scheme for staff what can they do to stop them and also why would they.
If the scheme was somehow scrapped all it would mean is that half the staff would miss out.
We know it's unfair and this is one of the reasons why it was not agreed, but better half the posties get in than none.
In my opinion.
My office have zero chance of hitting any week by the way.

Union never agreed, company brings it in anyway, this becoming the norm now.
What’s point of having a union then?
Also, you really think that RM want to give us a bonus?…they gonna use the data to rip out more duties in the new year.

Mil doesn't get held back in MCs during Xmas pressure. Once it has been processed it gets sent out on the first available lorry to the next office (MC/RDC/DO) that it's destined for.

We already know that we're going to be over absolute maximum capacity for Tracked so we've not got any chance of clearing. The only chance we might have is if all CSS staff are taken off the CSSs and put on Tracked. With the iLSM just sorting to office level only and the space where the yorks for the batches, manual and firms would go used for extra Tracked setups

Before going on holiday, we had around 15 agency doing dpr and duties. Also had pairings 'split up' to deliver single duties - obviously youre gonna get more completed that way. 4 or 5 hire vans at the ready, suppose this will get them through Christmas - s**t hits the fan in January as per usual.

So they are going to use data (PDA outdoor actuals) from the busiest time of year to base a revision on.
That makes sense.
The reality is the company brought this scheme in because the quality of service issues have them so worried about failing Christmas they are throwing money at it.
It Christmas fails and we lose contracts long term it puts the company back in dire straights.
The fact the scheme is unfair and doesn't increase productivity just shows how out of touch they are with reality on the shop floor.
