mail doesnt get delivered for a week now anyway, what difference does it make
The walks are too big and there are not enough staff to cover holidays, days off, sick absences and wallington weeks off. Loops are rotated. There isn't a 6 day service anymore. The walk adjacent to me did not go out once last week. No letters were delivered. D2D's are from 3 weeks ago.
...and btw, there are no vans younger than 13 years old in our DO. They are literally falling apart, like the posties and the squalid toilets!
A Monday to Friday letter delivery service would be a huge upgrade on the crappy service that RM are providing to the residents of the town that I work in.
Then they go back and say , well Mondays aren't that busy , if we dropped those , we could save X amount , then it becomes a four day delivery service , then eventually a no day a week delivery service,I can see it coming from mikes away. A death by a thousand cuts. To think at one time this job used to be quite coveted and meant something, now there are more managers and directors and the service is worse than it’s ever been.
We have a 07 reg which is faded pink with a green mouldy roof and mould all over the sides so much you can barely see the logos. When anyone uses it the public laugh and ask who have you upset to be given that. It’s a total embarrassment. I never thought I’d see it like this.
I don’t think you guys realise how little information, influence and power the line management and area managers have. They’re just like us posties but do less work for more money
What's new about reserves never getting a Saturday off? It's an ancient right of passage for newbies that stick with the job long enough to sign for the crappiest duty in the office just to get rota days.
