Nobody gets paid for delivering leaflets. You receive a delivery supplement for working in a delivery office.
New entrants are not paid this supplement.

Yes, where the MC workers got the Chan for an extra few pound at the expense of their delivery colleges. And how they jumped on it.denowashere wrote: ↑12 Sep 2023, 08:05Don't forget all of this was down to another great wage deal sellout by the union.
Delivery staff outnumber MC & RDC staff combined by at least 2:1 probably more likely 3:1 with some shifts being getting towards being between 1/3 and 1/4 made up with agency/casuals. It was voted in by deliveries, there's not enough of us in MCs and RDCs to have made any difference.enskied wrote: ↑16 Sep 2023, 18:19Yes, where the MC workers got the Chan for an extra few pound at the expense of their delivery colleges. You do realise there was a large percentage of Delivery posties who never had to deliver D2D when this was voted for years ago right?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Sep 2023, 21:43Delivery staff outnumber MC & RDC staff combined by at least 2:1 probably more likely 3:1 with some shifts being getting towards being between 1/3 and 1/4 made up with agency/casuals. It's a shame that we couldn't get a breakdown at the time of the % of members in deliveries, MCs and RDCs
Mail centre staff don't get paid the delivery supplement.RTP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2023, 22:28Doesn't matter how much older Royal Mail staff try to dissect it and its name. Its a DTD payment, except the older mail centre staff get paid the same as the older delivery staff for pushing it around in yorks instead of delivering it, while the new starters don't get paid for delivering it. Delivery office members used to get it paid per item and mail centre members got nothing as far as I'm aware, but since 2010 its a set amount per week no matter if there are 1 or 7 DTD. We do get paid it when there are non though and when on holiday which didn't use to be the case. That was how it was sold to us and that's how it is.
There's so much wrong with that it's difficult to know where to start.RTP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2023, 22:28Doesn't matter how much older Royal Mail staff try to dissect it and its name. Each function has got their own supplement, don't know if distribution in MCs get the processing one or if they have a separate one.P13 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2023, 01:19Mail centre staff don't get paid the delivery supplement.RTP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2023, 22:28Doesn't matter how much older Royal Mail staff try to dissect it and its name. I am more than aware it is a functional supplement and not a D2D payment, hence my reply to RTPSpacePhoenix wrote: ↑20 Sep 2023, 07:24Each function has got their own supplement, don't know if distribution in MCs get the processing one or if they have a separate one.P13 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2023, 01:19Mail centre staff don't get paid the delivery supplement.RTP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2023, 22:28Doesn't matter how much older Royal Mail staff try to dissect it and its name.
