Any representative from an unrecognised union is only given "companion" status at any disciplinary meeting just like your uncle Frank.
However the biggest problem would be accessing anyone from these pseudo-unions in the first place willing to turn up at your workplace at 48hrs notice.
Real unions do not like to step into the territory of an already recognised union, it tends to cause bad blood at the TUC Christmas party.
