Dont want to create a new thread but what is the quickest way to leave the union? cheers in advance
There is an email to send to the union saying you want to leave.
I want to use it as well but can't find it in the threads I've searched.
Hopefully someone will see this and let us know.

I can understand someone deciding to leave the union.
That's a valid personal choice.
I don't personally agree with it but I respect it as a decision that's yours to make.

I'm struggling to get my head around people coming on here and Facebook and trying to convince others to leave the union.

What's the reasoning behind that?

The reason is clear,if Royal Mail are doing as they please, what’s point of paying for union?

To validate their own stupid decision in leaving, of course.
If all the blow-hards on here posted that now wasn't a good time to leave the CWU and solidarity was essential, there'd be a lot less (allegedly) leaving.

Good for you but please don't come on here looking for help if your ex-rep won't help.

What's the point in other people paying for a union you're no longer a part of?

None of your business to be brutally honest.

:chuckle :chuckle :chuckle love this,i've left, not long to go for retirement for me and there was me voting NO to save the job for future employees i could of easily voted yes and took the money so close to retirement ,i can work any hours i have no commitments,i have no use for those sell out union scumbags anymore, the yes voters will need lots of luck because they are going to get hammered and im going to love every minute of it, even today there were yes voters in our office moaning like f--k,its funny because a lot of the old guard in our office voted NO where all the youngsters were only interested in the money, pretty much sums up where society is heading,at some point thou one day they will have to fight back or will die on the job.

Come on we all know reps are pretty much useless nowadays, management pay no attention to them, anyway the job is so bad now with poor pay and conditions i doubt anyone is bothered whether they get sacked or not,the union have shot themselves in the foot by agreeing all of this as nobody cares anymore, you dont need them for an accident at work anymore either solicitors are falling over themselves to help you. When will you realise the union isn't relevant anymore, they bottled it and now will have to seek members from other industries as the CWU in royal mail is finished.

Exactly been pretty much doing what they want all year can't remember the last time the union stopped anything, maybe the only useful thing is the free diary,a pretty expensive one at that.

I certainly will . I will let you continue to pay for the demise of your working conditions and the inevitable termination of all t&c . I won’t be fattening Dave Frauds waistline anymore. :Very Happy

I have to admit it feels fantastic having left the spineless yellow backed CWU I’m strolling around the office feeling 10 foot tall, our next to useless rep paid our office his once in a blue moon visit yesterday, he looked a broken man 😢

Around 24,000 staff at British Airways will get a pay rise worth more than 13% over 18 months from September, the Unite union has said.

Workers will also get a one-off payment of £1,000, but pilots and management are excluded from the deal, it said.

Well done Unite union :Applause
