Our senior leaders are hosting National Quality Village Halls with managers across the UK to help improve quality and grow the business.
Led by Grant McPherson, the Village Halls started last week and will continue until each region or functional area has held one.
Watch this film to understand more about the purpose of these events and hear from Grant, Ricky McAulay, Nick Landon, Jenny Hall (Miss Unfortunately) - plus managers and attendees in the South East region Babatunde Adefila and Chris Millen.
Grant:So here, we're in London. This is our fifth national Quality Village hall. We're talking to all of our people from across the UK in all of our regions about why quality is so important to everybody and to our customers. We've got people from Unite and CMA, we've also got representatives from the CWU all listening to the same message. It's a great event. We're talking about quality, we're talking about the finances, we're talking about how we take care of our people and we're getting great questions as well. Some really good, tough questions and hopefully we're giving you some great answers as well.
Manager:That's fantastic. Is be able to speak to the, uh, leadership team, understand the strategy, looking forward under trying get, get quality back to provide a service for our customer. It's very, very important.
Ricky: We're working through a really, really difficult year, a lot of industrial action, which hasn't been great for anybody, for Royal Mail to survive into the future. We need to improve quality. We can improve quality, we will grow the business, and the events are framed around that. Importantly, it's also about resetting relationships. So we've been really clear with managers that we want to change a business together with the CWU, and stressing the importance of transforming at pace.
Distribution Manager:We've Got a lot of work to do to restore quality. We've historically had good quality, but at the last couple of years it's drifted away. Our competition has sort of leapt in front or is catching us up very quickly and we've just gotta get back to basics and we're restore that customer promise.
Grant:Revenue coming in is the lifeblood. If we don't get the revenue in, we can't invest in changing the business. We can't grow. So getting revenue in is super important. Talking to the people at the nose of the business, the people who are talking to our customers every day, who are delivering the quality we need to grow. Really important opportunity. For me, it's the best investment of my time.
Miss Unfortunately:We've Got some brilliant leaders here and they want to make sure that role now gets back to winning again. They want to make sure that parcel force gets back to winning again. That's exactly why we are here. And so I think that there's a huge amount of enthusiasm for making sure that we can get over what has been a difficult Facebook company and we can move to the future.
Grant:Yes, we've got some headwinds, but if we focus and we've already shown because we've seen our quality results improve over the last few weeks, we're in the zone. We're in the target, and that gives customers confidence to give us more business. That's why we're doing this road show.

#We have the right amount of Villages-but too many idiots.
