And when company rtns to profit next year as they are saying I don't think a2% pay rise will buy you a mars bar if you lucky
I’m fascinated how you think a company who have just posted losses of over £700 million can turn that around in a year and become profitable. Might help if you could let RM know your business plan. Considering the decline in mail and increase in costs, it will take some doing.
Yet we are to be happy at some silly profit sharing scheme which lasts for just two years being included in the deal?
Not happy at all. I think it is possibly the most pointless aspect of the whole agreement and pales into significance compared to other elements such as pay and the t&cs. Nobody is happy with all parts of the deal, I can assure you, including people like myself who are voting for it.
There is many things I don’t like about the deal either the sick pay is the biggest one for me. The other bits I can get on with.
There is also doom and gloom from the people voting no to. I’ve looked out there for other employment and unless you’ve got good qualifications there isn’t that much out there. I would imagine though if things do get worse then these other jobs will look more attractive
I’m reluctantly voting yes and I feel there isn’t anymore to be gain by striking or opening up talk again and now the financial results are out there as well as the pay rise figures taking action won’t sit well with the public or customers.
I agree with every word. The sick pay and how it works alongside SSP really needs clarifying, as the way I read it, the second sickness will be no pay at all for the first two days. I can understand RM wanting to reduce the number of people abusing the system, but not at the expense of people who are genuinely sick.
Maybe the SSP could have been at COMs discretion but that’s probably a completely different minefield but they would be the ones who know who is genuine or not.
I think the 30 flex with never be used as most managers can’t manage and there would be arguments for when you get it back. The other stuff I can deal with.
I’m not really hearing to much about the deal in my office it’s seems the feeling is it’s not great but it’s probably the best we can do. There seems more concern about not been able to scan out early without been pulled in the office

The ssp is at the coms discretion Dave said if you've got a true illness or the manager knows your not a skiver they can give you full pay, obviously your gonna get managers who could just be ignorant.
I'm f****d every day as it is
Why would I vote Yes to make my job EVEN MORE physically and mentally harder, it would crack me and I'd have to leave anyway?
