For some that is the school run and later pick up time this whole job at one time was sold as just that are you now inferring that we should accommodate the likes of RM at there will and at drop of a penny? or two for the likes of your wisdom well you can shove it where the sun don't shine!
You can't do the school run at 9 and pick up at 3. The day's of going home after you're first delivery, taking the kids to school, then getting back to do the sorting before you're second delivery are long gone.

Yes, you aren’t forced to remain employed by Royal Mail. You can choose to work elsewhere if the changes are unworkable for you, but good luck finding any other job with family friendly hours, particularly full time. The finish times were imposed - you don’t choose your hours in any job, so why would RM be any different? We either went with them or look elsewhere. Nobody left our place after they were brought in because, shock horror, this is still a good job with decent pay, and they made arrangements, as literally every other parent does in other employment.

It isn’t even close to the bottom though. We will still be making a decent living if the deal is voted in. People just need to change their mentality to the job - go in, do your hours then come home and forget about the place. Pride in the job went out the window a long time ago for most, as the duties have become unachievable. Let management worry about all that. Go in make your money and go home. It is still a good job.
I don't stress and do my hours it doesn't bother me like some but it is a race to the bottom that's accelerating year on year they've proved they can bring anything in or rip up an agreement at anytime putting your head in the sand doesn't change people's worrys.
if I don't see an improvement in how RM are functioning or still deliberately/unable to cover deliveries before the vote i would find it very difficult to trust RM to stick to the agreement
