VOTE NO!!



I suppose the question is do you think it’s likely we can get a better deal or will voting NO mean the current bad deal offered will be taken off the table and become worse.

Personally, I think it would make it worse because every deal offered since the strikes has become worse.

I am a realist in that i know the chances of a bigger % payrise is highly unlikely. Do i believe that RM are in the Sh!t, unsure about that one i fancy things arent as bad as it seems but it suits their narrative to be skint.
The devil was always going to be in the detail and unless the union can get the vagueness out of a lot of what they are proposing i can never get behind it, reason being as we are all aware unless it is clearer than a clear thing on a clear day the management will beat us with their big sticks and say we agreed to it. Get some clarity into what they propose and how they intend to beat us with it and at least we can make our minds up.
Management will always try to use things to their advantage and unless nipped in the bud now we will suffer in the future.

Tbh I would like to see a lot of this ‘vagueness’ ironed out as well.
There seems to be a lot of ‘ifs and buts’ in this deal and by default it could go worse even if it does get a YES vote.

Will be an interesting few weeks to see the PR from both sides.

Ill be voting NO !!!! because if i have to work on those terms and conditions and a pay cut in all weather conditions until its dark ill go and get another job,if there was a prize for backstabbing the CWU would win hands down.

That will be happening even if its not voted in, They will just do EA so youd better get looking for that job thats similar to what you have now.

Only if you sit back and accept it,when did everyone become so apathetic,and ill doubt you will find any jobs like a posties its very unique,a lot of jobs out there now have the same pay if not more ,so don't believe people when they say there's nothing out there better,3 of my colleagues have left and found jobs better paid jobs different shift patterns but say they wish they had done it sooner so gives me hope and Royal Mail isn't all that,if it goes through ill wait and take my money and start looking to get out .

It's a three year deal but the first year was imposed upon us all hence no back pay people really need to know this as imposition is the worst case and it can happen again. So we have a deal over two years of.
6% from April 2023 and £500 pro rata.
2% from April 2024.
The £500 equates to 2% but it is a one off payment this means it is taxable with NI and pension contributions but will not go forward into pensions or pay. This is why I don't like this agreement that and IHR and other things hope this helps you all.
