Re: Union's corrupt?
All deals will have a give and take agenda, some parts liked , some parts disliked, yes there probably was private conversations during the dispute, and probably a bit of skulduggery involved, it's all part of reaching the agreement, and as has been said arguably both sides were looking to comeout of the dispute with a reasonable outcome, and to protect each others assets, this is the fact and the way it is normally done.
Yes there will be grey areas in the agreement , and it will take goodwill on both sides to try and get a happy medium, we will see..........

The CWU is a huge let-down.
Always has been since I've been in the job.
After every dispute, we go back to a job worse than it was before, with conditions made worse.
Yes, we get a few bob by way of a pay rise, the least any union worth its salt should achieve, but with us, always with strings attached.

Re: Union's corrupt?
Privatisation was the start of the decline in our terms & conditions, it won’t stop.
It’s no longer a company that respects its employees or has a moral compass.
Our terms & conditions will continue to be eroded whilst the profits will eventually increase.
RM is no different to every company that has been sold off to foreign investors & I can think of few within the UK that have not.
The agreement is no more than a surrender document to keep the CWU within the workplace.
The delivery lads/lasses will do there 30/40 years walking 12-14 miles per day, your knees/hips will be shot & you will receive no thanks from your employer, it’s the scrap heap for you.
You have my sympathy.
Shockingly, it’s going to get a lot worse!

Re: Union's corrupt?
RM just seemed to have a better legal team. The CWU seemed to focus on irrelevant victories the parliamentary grilling ST took and how greedy the shareholders were.
The conspiracist in me thinks RM planned this years ago. They waited until the covid profits stopped coming in, quickly made themselves richer, and then showed the world their empty bank balance and pleaded poverty.

They promised more than realistically they could ever deliver. Its always the same. There has to be a compromise or you dont have a job. And if you don't like the job then go and work at Tesco , be fair , thats your level. . If you fell for the we will fight until we have an amazing victory, we'll you are bit green I'm afraid.

Not corrupt.
But both bombastic and very naive - which is an unusual and unhelpful combination.
They also appear utterly unable to learn from what should be bitter experience.

Re: Union's corrupt?
The CWU are incredibly incompetent that it resembles corruption
They have been for many years over many issues
They are pathetic
