Yes, my contribution is a No vote. That's how it usually works. You reject the first deal. Strap yourself in pal because you are dreaming if you think this deal gets the green light.k979aaa wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 18:19If that touchy get micky mouse and your going to get a better deal for all of us?needadvice wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 17:48I don't know who shat on you in your lifetime, but there is no need to resort to bullying and harassmentk979aaa wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 17:39Learn a lesson don't go where your nightmares are pepper pig time for you!needadvice wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 17:33you are very provocative and threatening with your opinions so you are no better

Yeah it's the best deal for those in processing.milly wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 08:01This site is populated by selfish hardline extremists who only care about sounding tough.
If people detest the job so much and think that working in a Supermarket is better, then crack on and leave!
I'm confident that the majority of Postal Workers are pragmatic and realise that this is the best we are going to get, whilst it's not the best deal it's better than going into administration.
If you look at the sell-out deal in detail, most of it affects us on delivery. From working less indoor work to working even more contractual hours outdoors in winter with later starts and finishes. Then reduce the sick pay so that there's no real recovery from these marathon rounds and you will be forced to go to work.
What Royal Mail are doing is forcing decent, honest and hard working posties out of the door and replacing them with the new staff that they want to recruit on less pay, terms and conditions. And it's not just on delivery either ....There is talk of levelling up but do you seriously believe that?? I don't and here's why....There's talk of increasing part time contracts to full-time in this deal just like in the last agreement and yet there are still dozens of part-timers that are still working full time hours for the last 5 years on overtime but still haven't got a full time contract!!

No doubt our starting times will change when there are changes to the Network, then again staff in Processing have had their shift patterns changed umpteen times in the past 30 plus years I've worked there.
We just get on with it without the drama

Even if processing accept the deal ( and there is plenty of no voters in my mc) please for the last time del outnumber processing by at least 3-1.needadvice wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 16:06You work in processing so you would accept the deal. If you don't think the deal is to try and turn the mess around caused by RM in the first place and to start making profits again for shareholder payouts what do you think the deal is for exactly? They certainly haven't done it for us.milly wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 14:58You've seen the accounts have you?needadvice wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 14:57Yep. We have got progressively later since when I first started at 5am on delivery. Since then we had single daily delivery, we had longs and shorts, we had our d2d payments taken away, we have shared van working, we have revisions making duties unachievable.
Don't forget we don't also get the additional shift allowance that those who work in mail centres do.
Perhaps there's no drama in mail centres because they don't have anywhere near as much change as deliveries??
I mean do you get bullsh*t off your line manager if you tell them that you don't want to do overtime?? It's only in Royal Mail that I've ever experienced this!
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We have had far more changes than that and all manner horrible shifts.postslippete wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 19:07We have got progressively later since when I first started at 5am on delivery. 6 Nighters and 6 day back shifts weren't much fun, NDA and Saturday Premium taken off us replaced with inferior Shift Allowances.
Whilst delivery staff have always finished around 2pm at the latest apart from rural staff who finished a bit later.

It's not just the working hours that is bothering posties in this deal, it's the working conditions.aiden01 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 19:15Shift allowance in mc's is paid between 8pm an 6am come an join us if you like working to 10pm or even better night shift you would be £100 a week better off. There don't seem to be many people in distribution and processing that seem unhappy. It can't be that they are all a different breed, it must be because the working conditions are actually quite good

Would love to say they are superb but they are far from it. I agree delivery is 100% harder but like ive said before if delivery vote yes don't blame processing staff. we have all striked for same agreement now is the time to decide.postslippete wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 19:36It's not just the working hours that is bothering posties in this deal, it's the working conditions.aiden01 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 19:15Shift allowance in mc's is paid between 8pm an 6am come an join us if you like working to 10pm or even better night shift you would be £100 a week better off.
