I heard of a job today - 6am to 2pm - getting the meals ready for planes at an airport. £11/hor but free brakfast lunch and dinner and unlimited coffee - not my cup of teaTopperGas wrote: ↑10 Apr 2023, 18:48The only reason to leave is because of the change of hours but what other job is going to allow you to finish at 3pm?2yearpostie wrote: ↑10 Apr 2023, 13:15
Because things change.
When you start in life you live at home, then you rent a flat, then you buy a family home. Same in buisness, it started off as the public wanting letters at 7am and 5pm, then they wanted parcels, then one delivery and now they want everything as soon as its ordered.
Thats not to say that the workforce of the country cant move around to find similar or better employment.

Perhaps the hours will be more amenable than the proposed new deal.

Nicely put. No acceptable deal is on the table yet. The "best and final offer" weakly dressed up in a couple of ways with some very insulting little bribes tacked on are not the business engaging with the workforce. Stay strong, expect and demand better. We are worth it and we earn it.

That's always going to be the case whatever offer we receive, we're never going to get a lump sum offer net of tax/NI.needadvice wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 21:01it's a grand. 500 will be in the pockets of tax and national insurance manFilthyBloke wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 17:10That’s one of the reason I want to grab the 1500 now. What I stated was treated less favourably than another employee but in error with the term indirect discrimination as no protected characteristics or PCP involved with Trade Union Membership

Snap , same here a larger percentage means RM pay more into your pension pot , also doesn’t the company have form for breaking agreements .GlassDoor wrote: ↑11 Apr 2023, 09:55While 1500 sounds nice, it’s.
