At the end of the day you are just postmen [sic].You deserve nothing more than what's been offered and probably a lot less.

Re: Negotiators agreement reached
I’d say the rate of sickness is infinitely higher for postal staff, yes. Be that for legitimate reasons or otherwise. It is difficult, for example, for a post-person to continue working with an injury - not so for a manager. I can’t honestly remember the last time one of our managers was off sick, as it easy for them to come in and sit at their desk all day - not an option for us.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 14:43In the context of the discussion that I originally asked the questionLouBarlow wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 14:38Why would I care about manager absence procedures?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 10:11You still never answered my question if managers now get docked pay for their second absence?
You cared enough about how much the company loses due to postal workers being off, does RM not lose money when managers are off or something? Do managers never go off sick at all? Are they docked pay when they are like you are happy for us to be?
I care how much money is being lost through people milking the system, sure. For the sole reason that we all are now suffering because of the piss-takers ruining it for those who are genuine. Who said I was happy for us to be docked pay? I’m all for debate, but don’t make s**t up please.

No. Afaik they have offered the 2 pay options to the CWU along with a shared commitment to continue working towards a shorter working week.
Not sure how the profit sharing bonus would work though?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

It won't.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Yep Clash is right.
There'll be no profit share bonus. Also any pay rise agreed for 2024 will not happen.
And anything in the agreement that mentions "managers supporting collegues" ( performance management, sickness etc) means bullying and conduct.
"Trials" won't be trialled - they'll just happen.
"In consultation with the CWU and workforce" means ignoring the CWU and workforce.
Etc.

Take the lump sum. Once it’s in your bank they can’t get at it. I wouldn’t trust this mob to honour any future agreement on wages .Easy to claim lack of funds in a years time.
Slider tool. Lol.

Ah yes colleague shares I remember them as they ended up being worthless
I don't know why the company put things like this in agreements. Especially as they didn't give us a decent share of the record profits that they made last year?
