Give it a rest Poppy
Not everyone works in an office with a strong union presence. Some people rely on these updates and it’s pretty low leaving ppl hanging on a weekend…….again
He/she was posting every couple of minutes with the same hysterics

Lets just see what comes out by the end of the day
I doubt anyone is in talks at 5pm on a Friday with all due respect
I never said they were. I said lets just wait and see what comes out by the end of the day.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Totally agree its shocking our own union who are paid by us and supposed to be there to take the pressure off us have done the complete opposite,i honestly believe they want us to leave the union so they can blame us for not sticking with the union, the members have been treated appallingly by all parties involved :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad :evil/mad

They usually like a 7pm announcement, if there isn't one then I think it's time to get pissed off

I totally except members frustration with the deadline for an update missed again, and they should have put one out no matter what it said ,but we must totally understand now that while for us this is about pay and terms and conditions, for RM this is totally about undermining the union and the uso under any circumstances, in our office hundreds of parcels are failing and loops failed by huge amounts, we on here are trying to see sense where there is none coming from RM , our union is being asked to sign up to things no union should even consider ,remember these things when criticising the union, absolutely nothing going on at the moment and that's for a reason!!!

From what I can read here and hear in the office, the Union are doing a pretty good job of undermining themselves.

But that has nothing to do with the CWU promising to give us an update today then failing to give one? It seems we're being played by both our employers and also the union. If nothing is going on why aren't they just proceeding to announce further strikes dates, or polling us to see if we want to accept the final offer?

Seems as though both sides are willing to create frustration.

Maybe this makes them think people will be more willing to sign up to whatever is on offer as they've had enough of the disinformation and waiting...

Meanwhile the nurses turn down their own 5% pay offer and announce further strike dates

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I’ve been in the union for 36yrs and this is the worst I can remember. They are never informing us what the f**k is going on, like people have said just till us anything is better than nothing!!!!

Is this a joke or do you really think like that? Before the internet, your Rep, a letter, or the news, was the only way to hear about the negotiations/updates.
Give it time and if they come to an agreement, you can have your say by voting.
I still have faith in our representatives. Imagine what your working life would be like without someone who represents us.
